Beautiful area for dining.

Not advertised as much in Plymouth which is a shame as it is very beautiful and up-market. Plenty of galleries, shops and restaurants there and mood lighting everywhere. Public... read more

Royal William Yard has developed over the last few years, tending to focus on food outlets. This is no bad thing as there is a wide variety of types of restaurant and prices. It is lovely to walk around and look at the waterfront and, as this is flat, it is good for people with walking difficulties. Parking can be... More

Not advertised as much in Plymouth which is a shame as it is very beautiful and up-market. Plenty of galleries, shops and restaurants there and mood lighting everywhere. Public walkways around the sea front all lit up, purple and green lights along the walls and loads of places to drink and eat. Modern living there but parking costs MUST come... More

Lots to see and lots to do. In spring and summer try to water taxi to or from the Barbican. Only down side is parking can get very pricey after two hours but free parking available at Devils Point a few minutes walk away.

this is one of my fave places to visit however they've changed the parking arrangements and it actually makes me think twice now before I visit. The charges are a total rip off by some private greedy money grabbing company! !! Shame it spoils the visit for many who are unaware of the new parking system !!

The royal william yard has so much going for it. Try not to pay to park here as it can make your visit more expensive. There are some fabulous eateries here and places you can get some wine and beer, you can also get a ferry from here around to the Barbican which cost a couple of pounds but certainly... More

we hired a flat here for a week and as it was February the ferry to the barbican wasn't running -but this did not affect our stay. It is such an interesting and historic place to stay and great places to eat. especially recommend Pierre's. There was also a great local farmers market there on the Sunday.

Don't miss exploring the victualling yards of the royal navy from Nelson's time. Maritime artisan history as an insight to how the royal navy efficiently set out to wage war and build its international reputation for naval supremacy.

Full of places to eat and drink. Could do with some culture - for example explaining the history of the place - & maybe some shops.

Stayed at an apartment in this old complex. The quality is superb and makes a nice change from 3 star hotels. Excellent

Not really an attraction on its own, but a successful restoration of a naval yard. It's like a cross between a castle and a fort with grey stone walls everywhere and a beautiful front looking out across Plymouth Sound to Cornwall. It is a classic Urban Splash redevelopment with a nice selection of quality restaurants and bars headlined by Hugh... More
