wonderfully moving

Stunning HUGE memorial, very moving with so many names on it, very well kept although shame teenagers were using it as a hangout.

Went here with some university friends to do some filming. As it's in the middle of the hoe the views are great. For a sunny day this is a nice place to go to just look at and get a photo of.

Plymouth's Royal Naval Memorial is a fitting monument to those brave souls lost at sea during times of war. As a member of a naval family it probably holds more significance for me but being reminded of the sacrifices given by so many for the freedoms we enjoy today should surely not be too difficult to do.

How can one fail to be moved by the sacrifice of so many for our safety? Yes we looked for the names of family - and found them.

Plymouth is very proud of it's naval connections and this shows in its wonderful memorials, dedicated to all who lost their lives in different conflicts. We were very impressed with the care and attention given to the upkeep of each of the memorials on the Hoe. Well done Plymouth

I cannot tell you how I felt as my Father nearly died in the second world war aboard H.M.S. Prince of Wales at the battle for Singapore.

we went to look up family members, its quite a large area so it took us a while to find family members, but we did find them, lovely memorial to those that lost their lives, worthy of a visit even if you dont have family interest.
