About
Mayflower Marina is a 400 berth fully serviced marina located within the historic naval city of Plymouth and overlooking the picturesque Mt Edgcumbe Country Park. We are proud of our marina. Our berth holders often talk about being part of 'the Mayflower family' and we work hard to live up to our reputation as being a particularly friendly marina. The marina holds The Yacht Harbour Association's prestigious 5 Gold Anchor Award and in both 2014 & 2015 Mayflower Marina was voted British Coastal Marina of the Year. In recent years we have made significant investments in our facilities and we think you'll be impressed by what we have to offer! Please get in touch if you have any questions or, better still come and visit us - we'd be delighted to show you around!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The restaurant was brilliant, however the management and professionalism of the actual marina is less than satisfactory. They're interested in money, nothing else.

Down here this morning with friends about to leave on a mixed purpose and sail training voyage on this curious but impressive post WWII ship. Built in Le Harve as an arctic trawler, later converted to a coastal trader and then in the late 90s and for several years was converted into a sail trainer with an interesting configuration of sail loosely described as main mast barquentine. An impressive vessel.

A fabulous marina with polite and helpful staff. Clean facilities, with a brilliant bonus of having a fantastic restaurant (Jolly Jacks ) at the top of the car park.
We have stayed many times and never been disappointed.

Dog and child friendly too.

Came here to get some shelter from quite a breezy NW and was not disappointed
Had a bit of fun getting alongside but the marina team, both called Ian!?! were brilliant, location is a bit out there, but it’s only a 10/15 minute walk to Royal William Yard and they do provide punt tickets so you can take your punt across. We had a comfortable night and the facilities are very good!
Yes I would recommend and will come again

Even in the cool rain, seeing Plymouth, England, was important for us as Americans. We found a great fish and chip place nearby and walked along the marina and the Mayflower Steps. (Nov. 2017)

Pretty close to being a 5* marina.
The bathrooms are very good and clean, but could do with something to dry your hands with after using the loo. Using the hairdryer for your hands is a bit of faff.
Because of the good bathrooms nothing untoward is seen bobbing about the marina.
It’s surprisingly quiet with almost no mast rigging noise.
Although there is no security gate to get onto the pontoons, it still felt very safe and secure.

Thank you for visiting our marina and for taking the time to post a review. In response to your point about hand drying; we do have a super efficient electric hand dryer in the foyer of our bathroom block but granted there is not one in the cubicles. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and hope that you will visit us again.

We have been here a few times instead of using Sutton Harbour. Always phone/radio ahead to book a mooring. Quite difficult to navigate to berth as signage small and layout confusing but Harbour Master helpful - will also give a hand to tie up. The marina is subject to the changing tides and deep eddies so sometimes it is an interesting journey in and out. There is sometimes a passing helpful fellow sailor who will take the line at the pontoon. Toilets, free showers, washroom situated next to Jolly Jacks. Also free mooring for 3 hours if visiting there for a meal which we have done in the past - brilliant to stop enroute home or just out for the day.
Electric hook ups, water and free wifi available - ask for the code. Lovely walks out to Mutton Cove with views across the river to Mount Edgecombe. Reasonable prices - paid the same as last year - Sutton Marina has increased their prices out of reasonable cost so we now avoid.

Many thanks for your review. You are clearly familiar with our marina but for those who are note we will always try to take the lines from visitors and our berth holders; and we are happy to provide 'directions' over VHF or mobile to visitors who require assistance in finding their berth.

We stayed on a boat with some friends during the International Firework Display. We were impressed by the friendliness of everyone and the bathrooms ( yes, bathrooms!) on the quayside are really very good. The parking was easy and felt secure.
