Darren responded immediately to a phone query and was able to set up a tour with just a few hours notice.
It was an excellent way to spend a hot sunny afternoon, and see Plymouth from the water.
Darren gave us paddling tips and lots of intresting local and historical facts along the way.
We felt we were in very safe hands as we crossed the busy shipping lane.
Hint ...... take some snacks it's quite the workout.

I booked the half day escorted kayaking trip to Drake's Island leaving from the eastern slipway at Mountbatten for myself and my 2 adult daughters. Our trip leader was Darren who was very safety minded and made sure we were all confident with the basics in the calm and quiet area adjacent to the slipway before setting off.
He was an engaging and informative guide throughout and the excursion was well planned to include short breaks on a couple beaches.
Whilst we have all kayaked several times previously, none of us are regular paddlers which is why I chose the escorted option and I would definitely recommend this.

Great service once again kayaking with a group of friends - I have used TK Watersports services over the past 3 years for kayak hire. Delivers kayaks to an inlet of your choosing, comes with good quality life jackets, dry bags, seat back rests - even tour guide if wanted.

Always looked after us, great support, convenient to use, picked us up and dropped us off wherever we needed, and when one of our group needed extra help and guidance, they had an extra guide on standby (even though we hadn't ordered one) ready to save the day.
Will use again and again. Can't recommend enough.

We, a group of 7, booked half a day canoeing experince with TK watersports and thanks to Darren, Gavin and Jon, all in all, we had an amazing time!
Darren provided a top notch service from booking to canoeing day experience. He provided flexibility on dates and times as the weather was so unpredictable. I, along with my family, had an amazing day learning how to canoe, whilst taking in the beauty of plymouth! They were all very friendly and kept us entertained while sharing their knowledge of plymouth with us, which made the experince even more interesting. Gavin even towed the kids when they got tired of rowing! Once again, thank you for this wonderful experience!!

As the title would suggest me and my mate had a good time and the service provided was fine, the only thing I would point out is that my car reg plate number had a picture taken without permission, and when I asked why he did it he seemed very redrawn from answering my question.. I understand security may be an issue with hiring out kayaks but I find it quite frankly rude.
Because of this I won't be hiring this service again and will look else where for kayak hire

Excellent service from Darren and Gavin for our family. Darren was very helpful on the phone to guide and book everything and Gavin was very helpful during our first ever Kayaking experience. TK Watersports provided all the necessary equipment/gear for us to make us feel secure and comfortable at a very reasonable price.
Highly recommended for anyone who want to give Kayaking a go.

Hired 6 kayaks for 6 hours for myself and visiting friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed it! We didn't want a tour guide as I'm familiar with the Plymouth bay, but the option was there. Darren, very friendly, dropped the kayaks off at a beach of our choice, and collected them again at the end. Cash or card accepted for hire. Really good kayaks - comes with free use of late jackets, helmets, waterproof bags, paddles, backrests for kayaks. Would 100% do again!

Had a brilliant time earlier this week, thanks Darren.
We really enjoyed going over to the island, learning some interesting things on the way and of course learning to paddle - Harry and I were novices but we soon got to grips with it. Great tuition from Darren, the kit was all good and safety was second to none. Would definitely recommend and hope maybe to book again on another trip to Plymouth. Good luck with all you've got planned Darren.

When i called TK Watersports I found Darren extremely helpful in organising my Kayaking trip.
He accompanied me on a personal trip to Drakes Island which was ideal......plus a visit to Millbay tunnels on the way back.
He delivered a very professional service and for such a reasonable price.... in my humble opinion Kayaking in Plymouth don't get any better. :-)
