My partner and I listened to a lot of information which was given out during our hour or so long boat trip. There is so much naval history to learn from going on this boat trip. I would recommend this trip to anyone, especially if you enjoy hearing about the various ships and submarines which are docked and serviced in this stretch of water. There are refreshments on board to purchase. This is a well organised boat trip and runs very smoothly from start to finish.

What an epic afternoon fishing! This was our third trip and my boy's birthday treat (voucher from his gran - good idea if you have someone to treat). I can never fault these guys, always friendly, helpful and professional - so far a 100% catch record too! We even saw dolphins swimming right by the stern... (if that's the front bit?!?) 🤣 Sunshine and dolphins are not guaranteed, an excellent time is. Can't recommend this enough. Oh, and if you're a bit fish shy when it comes to your catch the cafe will make it into spectacular tastiness for you for an extra fee. Also recommended for staff, quality and service. What more do you want? Go! Xxx

We went on the sundown trip at 5pm. We weren’t sure what to expect but it was absolutely stunning. The loop took you from Plymouth to the forte around a little Island and back. A free drink per person was included and they offered a good choice of spirits and bottles. The views were stunning and at one point we were surrounded by cute white sailing boats. Such a relaxing experience. The trip was not too full and we were able to walk around the boat to get a full view. The captain played up beat music. Would be fabulous to stop and go in the sea during warmer seasons. It would also be nice to be given some information about the landmarks we pass during the trip. The trip was stunning thought and we left feeling happy and relaxed. Great value we paid £28 for2 adults and 1 child it would only be £2 more for a family of 2 adults and 3 children!

We were trying to find something to do to escape the rain in Plymouth, so we decided on the one hour boat trip with commentary. However, it was not an enjoyable trip, it was full with children - I have no issue with kids, however when they are causing a nuisance to other passengers this is where I take issue. They were running around, swinging and climbing on the polls, and combined with the incredibly quiet volume of the speakers this made it impossible to hear the commentary. The windows were also far too high up so when sat at the window tables it was impossible to see out of this windows! Obviously not much can be done about this, but it all contributed to not a great experience! Next time we would be more likely to choose a voyage with no children. If you just want a boat trip to take in the scenery, this is for you. However if you actually want to hear about what you’re actually looking at and some of the history and have a somewhat peaceful and comfortable trip, this is not for you.

Lovely hour long boat trip seeing Plymouth from the ‘other side’. Booked tickets from the stand on the barbican reasonably priced at £8.50 per adult.

Staff were friendly , passengers were told to wear masks which helped make the trip Covid safe.
Suitable for Adults , children and dogs 🐕.

A very informative and interesting trip past the Harbour and into Plymouth Sound. The commentary by the captain was amusing and he really made you feel valued as did his two crew members. Higher recommended. Sit/stand at the front on the lower deck for the best (and coldest) experience. Great value for money.

Had a great mornings fishing with skipper Ben and his Dad John. As a family of fishing novices they explained everything to us and got us all reeling in mackerel and other fish in no time. Lovely to be out on the boat for 3 hours, lovely views of the Sound and the coastline. An added bonus is that the Boathouse Cafe will cook your fish for lunch or dinner that day. Reasonably priced, well run and a great activity.

Booked online, arrived in plenty of time only to be told that because they hadn't managed to sell any other tickets my cruise was cancelled. No advance warning that we were the only ones booked or anything (apparently its stated in the terms and conditions which are on their website- no mention on the confirmation email).

Had a very excited 3 year old who ended up in tears. I guess if you want to take your chances make sure you try at a peak time, otherwise they aren't bothered about the disappointment and inconvenience of cancelling literally when you are sat on board.

Profits over customer service.

Fantastic sunny day. Great river views. Loved all that. But it was handled by the company in the great British tradition of they get what they're given and thats it.

The PA speaker at the front of the boat did'nt work so it was very hard to hear the commentary. Even when we could, the commentary was given in the heaviest local accent so even for us English punters it was hard to understand. Such classics as " the roil siddel" meaning "the royal citadel".

And covid rules meant we wore masks for all 4 hours. But the boat was rammed - no social distancing. And don't get me started on the disgusting toilets.

Overall they need to make a proper effort and do a lot better. How come the local tourist board and other authorities condone this kind of treatment of trippers? Its so bad for Plymouth. Come on guys, get a grip!

Huge group of students (we are students ourselves) got on the boat and clearly knew one of the bar workers. They we shouting and laughing so loud and playing their own music (extremely offensive if children were present) for the entire trip. As they knew the bar worker, they all got served first. Not one of them were wearing a face mask and they never got told too.

The boat itself was lovely and trip just long enough but we felt very let down that non of the other passengers were put into consideration. Lots of the other passengers looked angry and awkward for the entire trip.

This really needs looking into, as this is definitely going to stop us from returning. Apart from that, it was worth the £11 each for the free drink and the scenic tour!
