Cockington village was recommended to us by our Bed and breakfast hosts and what a good choice it was. The village is picturesque and peaceful with thatched cottages containing small businesses and art and craft shops including a great ice cream shop. You can take a walk through the park up to the manor where there are exhibitions and a restaurant. Behind the manor house are further workshops including glass blowing. A nice place to visit and have a peaceful and relaxing time.

A beautiful village , kept immaculately clean , and a place to relax and enjoy. I have been there every year for the last 4 years when we have been holidaying in the Torquay area. You can walk round the lovely lakes , across the cricket pitch , and have a drink outside the Manor House. There are also small craft shops and glass blowing to explore. My favorite part is the Rose garden. The roses are so fragrant and well kept. Just to sit on a bench in there takes all the stresses in your life away for that moment. Plus there is no cost to walk around, just the car parking which wasnt expensive. Its good to support the area by purchasing though, especially in these times. Its amazing how such a village is just 10 minutes drive from Torquay, and yet it feels like a million miles away as its so tranquil

Walked to Cockington through the water meadows on the accessible board walk. It is nearly 2 miles walking but quite flat. Unfortunately we chose a rainy day so didn't visit the Rose Garden and craft studio. We would like to visit again to see the country park and gardens.
