I took my disabled mother and was able to park up right outside the craft shops. Quite a few were closed (well, it was Monday in February but as it was half term we had hoped that more would be open). The quality of the craft shops is very good and we enjoyed wandering around. We also visited the church... More

We decided to stop off at Cockington for a coffee and ended up staying for half a day. After a period of rain the ground was quite wet, but we were still able to enjoy a stroll around the grounds - the lakes have recently been cleared and a lot of work completed on new paths, etc and should look... After visiting the glass blowers, metal and wood craft, chocolate and various other shops at Cockington. Take the walk up to the big house, the grounds are beautiful and great fun for children, they love rolling down the small grass hills. Perfect place for the family picnic.

This is situated in the middle of a lovely estate, ideal for walking and dog exercising. Courtyard with live crafts a good visit. The main house contains a pleasant snack restaurant and gift shop. Wedding venue and conference centre. Paid car parking.

We had a works team day in the Court, which was great, we ordered food in the cafe/restaurant which was served in good time with no problems, all in all a lovely setting, great service.

We went to visit on New Year's Day - no information saying that everything would be shut - absolutely nothing to see or do, so we wasted money parking. Very disappointing.

I think my trip here was marred somewhat as I went a few days after Christmas and most of the shops were closed, but the scenery was lovely and very 'chocolate box'. The grounds were not maintained very well, however, and could be improved. It was quite nice strolling around, and so close to Torquay too. Worth a visit if... More

Great uplifting walks, the autumnal colours were playing in sunshine. I can't wait to see the finished ponds too. The workshops offer an interesting insight into the craftsman's work.
