This museum has everything from victorian era to the %)'s that shows us Britain for both children and adults - wonderful experience - I could have stayed all day - mainly exhibits but has interactive as well as a great real railway tearoom for snacks...More

There is so much fitted into this old cinema, including a steam engine. This museum houses a large array of collectibles, mostly displayed in rooms.

We regret that you did not enjoy your experience. The dentist is deliberately realistic to reflect what a visit would have been like in the Victorian era. The smells are deliberately put in to the displays to create the atmosphere e.g the blacksmith, apothecary. We...More

This place sends you back in time the things to see are really true in their detail. Lovely visit and when in there it’s like alladins cave with plenty to see. Staff were friendly and cost to get in reasonable.

We enjoyed our visit here, and stayed for about an hour and a half. Well laid out, interesting exhibits and enjoyed the story about how the museum started

A small attraction with a big heart. So much to see. Very well laid out and very true to detail. Cafe is lovely. Highly recommended.

Yes! We are completely dog friendly in the whole building, even in our cafe where the staff will find a seat that conforms to our health and safety. We get lots of dogs in (of course free of charge!). Hope to see you and... More

Hi, yes we recommend 1 hour to 1.5 hours but as you can see from all the other positive comments, many people spend longer as there is so much to see across the 3 floors!
