Welcome to Living Coasts, an all weather attraction, located on Torquay seafront in South Devon, where there’s plenty to see and do: mingle with the playful penguins, get up close to the otters, octopus and seals, and much more. Visit Penguin Beach to walk with the African and macaroni penguins and catch our entertaining feeding time talks.

Visited again on our annual pass. Perfect place to spend a couple hours with the little ones. Seemed to have timed this visit better as we caught lots of the talks by the keepers. Was a lot quieter as term time. Had a really fun...More

This place is considerably better than I thought it was going to be. From the outside, it doesn’t look very big, but actually it’s quite substantial, when you get inside. The living coast has quite a large range of creatures. You could easily loose a...More

We saw penguins, Fur seals, terns, stilts and other wading birds, as well as an indoor aquarium, with some unusual fish, such as sea horses and four eyed fish. The birds had a good flying space, enclosed by netting and generally the conditions looked very clean,...More

This was our second visit to Living Coast in the space of two years - it is easy to find just at the tip of Torquay harbour. The admission fee is expensive for the size of the attraction, but I think it is worth it...More

We spent an afternoon here, but could have done with longer. It was very quiet late on Friday. It's well laid out and it's good to be in with the birds rather than watching them in a cage. There were several talks and feedings through...More

Such a lot packed into a small space. Keepers are friendly and knowledgeable. You feel as if you have walked around a large site but it is simply well laid out.

I visited Living Coasts today and I was very disappointed. A lot of the attractions were closed, the algae made it hard to see the wildlife and due to this we were in and out in 30 mins. I really feel the admission fee (£11.80)...More

I'm very sorry you were disappointed with your recent visit. As far as I'm aware, all our attractions have been open this week. Our kiosk that serves drinks and snacks was closed at the beginning of the week as it was being deep cleaned. Currently,...More

A great place to visit. We did get round it pretty quickly, but definitely worth a visit. We would definitely return.

Lovely place to sit and chat and watch the sea, sailing boats, birds and two brave swimmers. Nice cappuccino and millionaires shortbread. When the rest of England seemed to be raining, we were in our own bubble of sunshine!

From what I can recall. Yes. It's a lovely visit and the staff I met were friendly helpful and knowledgable. I can't think of anywhere inaccessible to push chairs or wheelchairs

Hi Louise, We are an all weather attraction, with half outside (e.g. penguins, seals, otters, estuary birds, etc...) and half inside (underwater viewing areas, aquarium, etc..). All our keeper talks/presentations happen... More
