Large venue
Aug 2019
Visited a while ago to watch a show. Seating easy to find and comfortable. Bar was expensive but to be expected. Only thing which made the evening unpleasant was the hour long queue upon leaving the Multi story car park however can understand why when everyone is trying to leave at same time. Close to restaurants and bars and right next to Bournemouth beach.

Riverdance performance great, but unhappy at having my bottled water confiscated!
Mar 2020
We've been to the BIC many times and thoroughly enjoyed the perfornance of 'Riverdance' but this was the first time I've had my own bottle of water confiscated. I was told it was to stop me running up to the stage and throwing it at the dancers! Honestly, I'm in my 70s and can hardly walk with osteoarthritis let alone run! I was only allowed to have a bottle with me if I bought it at the venue - another way for the BIC to increase revenue? I'll avoid visiting there again.

Thank you for visiting and I am pleased you enjoyed watching Riverdance. I am sorry though that you were disappointed about not being able to bring in your own bottled drink. This is a standard policy in most venues, unless there is a medical requirement. Our team is always happy to provide free water from the bar - and if they are busy and you need assistance, please ask a steward who will be more than happy to assist. S. A Good Evening Was Had by All
Mar 2020
Booked ahead to see Riverdance and enjoyed the experieince even though I had seen the show some 20+ years ago. My favourite night out didn't let me down. The venue is a little unusual in comparison with a more established theatre but the atmosphere was really excellent.

Michael Ball & Alfie Boe Concert
Mar 2020
Have visited The BIC on numerous occasions over the years to see various shows and stars. A very nice theatre and obviously used for the big stars, however prefer The Pavillion across the road as it is more "up close and personal" with a nicer cosier atmosphere. The concert last night for Michael Ball and Alfie Boe was sold out. Arrived last night to find delays getting in the BIC front door and we had to join a long queue, security could have opened more doors to assist with the flow of people particularly in such bad weather? We sat in the side balcony, first time in this location. Decent view and liked the use of large screens, an excellent idea. Decent view yet at times a large speaker from the ceiling partially blocked the screens. After a while your legs got tired and you feel that your feet are cramped, there is not alot of leg room between the rows. Good concert venue however very big and without the use of the large screens the stars would have been difficult to see. Sound and lighting was excellent.

Thank you for visiting us and sharing your comments about the night. I agree Bournemouth International Centre and our sister venue, Bournemouth Pavilion, are so very different indeed - in fact the Pavilion celebrated its 90th birthday last year so the BIC is a mere baby by comparison. I am sorry you felt the security checks took a little while to get through - especially as the weather wasn't so great. We do encourage people not to bring in bags, food or drink to speed up the process and try to get everyone in as quickly, and safely, as possible. We are sorry if this takes some time and are very grateful for your patience. If you visit us again and feel like you need a bit more leg room do come and have a chat with us and we can always see if there are alternative seats that we can offer you. On busy sold out events it's not always possible but we will try and help if we can. We hope to welcome you back to another event in the future. S. Turner, Divisional General Manager

THE SCRIPT
Feb 2020 • Couples
While the script where amazing the hall and seats where ok apart from having to get up all the time as the people in my row either needed the loo or a drink every few minutes wich got annoying my main issue was the fact that you buy a drink in a plastic bottle but aren't allowed to take the bottle in to the venue with you in case it gets thrown on the stage wich i get i suppose but wheni watched jack whitehall it was ok to take plastic bottles in my main gripe was the fact it got poured out of a bottle in to a plastic cup wich in this day and age isnt great when we r supposed to be cutting back on plastics even worse was if you brought a diet coke that came in a bigger bottle so you ended up with 2 cups instead creating more waste wich ineeds to be looked at other wise a great night and the script was amazing

Thanks for your review and comments about your evening. I am pleased you enjoyed the Script but sorry that your enjoyment was interrupted by others in your row. Thanks also for your comments about the drinks and we are currently trialing a reusable alternative, which we will look to roll out as soon as possible. The plastic bottles are recycled and we are looking at how we can reduce the amount of bottles we use by introducing more drink dispensers. We know these are small steps and there is much more we can do, but please be assured we are taking our environmental responsibilities seriously and are committed to doing better. S. Box opening times
Feb 2020 • Solo
I checked the box opening times before I got to the BIC box office only to find out that the box office was closed and a note to say that the box office in The Pavillion was open. So I had to trek through a wind swept town garden and mostly a uphill trek back to my car. Unfortunately since booking my mother's and my tickets to see Riverdance my mother's mobility has deteriorated and I was worried that she would not be able to get to her seat with ease. Unfortunately I have to keep our original tickets as there are no disabled seats available. Also as I rechecked the box office opening hours online it is now showing me the correct opening times! So not impressed especially in this line of business the information should have been correct. I don't phone the booking office as I find that it costs a lot of money. Now I just hope that my elderly mother will be able to get to her seat to enjoy the show.

Thanks for your review although I am very sorry to read that getting your tickets could've been better. The ticketing phone line was changed to a local rate number a few months ago so I hope you will find this better if you buy tickets in the future. S. Turner, Divisional General Manager
