I was bought this spa deal for a Christmas pressy but we chose to pay an extra ten quid to upgrade to spa with lunch rather than afternoon tea. The hotel looks lovely from outside we were greeted by friendly reception staff who directed us downstairs to the spa area. We were then greeted by this lovely chap who provided us with tons of towels as we didn't want to pay extra for a dressing gown. He showed us around and was so lovely and sweet. The changing area is small with only one shower but it was OK did the job. Lockers for clothes ect.. we then went into the jacuzzi which was lovely and hot then the pool which was absolutely fine. There is a sauna, steam room relaxation room and an aromatherapy room. Which wasn't open but there was lots of other things to do. We also used the upstairs pool and lounged in the chairs opposite with coffee. We just felt so chilled and relaxed. After we finished we went for our meal. I had a burger and mum had the curry, both huge and delicious. Staff in restaurant were so lovely too. We would def recommend for a lovely cheap and cheerful spa experience. We came away feeling fab. We will def be back. It was great.

I was given this spa day for two as a gift. Really dirty and untidy spa. Changing rooms were particularly dirty and smelt of mould. The toilet and shower was mouldy, obviously not cleaned (see pictures). The spa area was very dark and dingy and tired looking. Treatment area was clean and tidy, and the massage I had was fine. We spent the majority of the day in the main hotel by the pool, which was so much better. I would certainly not recommend.

I was so impressed with the spa day we had here. The check in was quick and all the staff were so friendly. The spa was nice. We had a really tasty Thai lunch made by a chef who has come from Thailand.

It was my partners birthday and the staff made such an effort, they gave us complimentary drinks, gowns and brought a beautiful dessert platter with happy birthday on it out.

The spa is not really a spa. It’s like a tiny tired leisure centre with a few extra rooms. The relaxation room had issues with the volume of the relaxation music suddenly being turned up. The sauna is very small and one man decided to lounge himself across the whole top shelf leaving 4 of us squished in a corner. The main floor area is very very slippery and I saw a lot of people slip. The changing rooms are not fit for purpose. One tiny shower which gave me ‘legionnaires’ vibes, no lockers to keep your stuff secure, lots of dirty/rusty areas. No actual room to get changed and one hair drier. Pretty awful really. Don’t bother.

Lovely staff and great treatments, but let down by grubby, smelly changing rooms. The sauna was broken, and the downstairs changing rooms were very dirty. The lockers needed £1 coins which no one, even reception, had.
Lots of stairs to the spa and then to the upstairs pool which was lovely. Again the changing rooms were dirty and smelly and I didn’t feel like having a shower.
Lunch was great but took nearly an hour to arrive and the place wasn’t busy,
Treatments were downstairs and the therapists were great, but the surroundings were so dirty that I wouldn’t go again.

My sister had a spa day gift and luckily invited me! We both had a back, neck and shoulder massage which was amazing. My therapist was just lovely, beautiful lady with a beautiful personality, she really put me at ease after having a hard week. We made use of the pool which was very clean, the steam room which I tried for the first time...I loved that! We also used the sauna. It came with lunch, very good quality food. The staff in every area of this hotel were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel and certainly the spa packages to anyone. Thank you West Cliff hotel for a wonderful experience!

We only came for a Spa Day with afternoon tea, the area in reception and restaurant looked very clean and all the staff where very friendly. Nigel in the Spa was really nice, Our Swedish massage was so relaxing and the staff very professional. my only concern was that the Spa area did need a good clean. The afternoon tea was very nice and fresh, Isabella who served us was
Very attentive. Overall we had an enjoyable time

My mum and I came along for a spa day which included a 2 course lunch. I’ll start with the positives first. The food was tasty and there was a fair selection however the brownie needed to come with a chisel as it was so tough! The fact a drink isn’t included is also pretty poor. The spa- there is no where near enough changing rooms and lockers. The changing room is so small! The one and only shower and toilet is pretty shoddy and run down. Certainly not inviting. The pool is so chlorinated it made our eyes water and the steam room wasn’t working to start with. My robe didn’t come with a belt, I had to change it but not until I was questioned! The hotel itself is pretty grubby. The stairs that lead from the treatment rooms to the restaurant were disgusting. The restaurant toilets were all broken, not great. Unfortunately won’t be returning….or fortunately.

Not suitable for people who can’t manage stairs . No sunloungers in the spa facility only in the relaxing lounge which are too low for me as couldn’t get up and hurt my leg trying to! Too dark and cold to relax and read.
Aromatherapy lounge no smell!
Changing rooms cramped and lockers jammed .
Jacuzzi can’t see where the steps are so couldn’t get in without hurting myself as went the wrong way!
Upstairs pool was ok but again loungers too low . Had to keep going upstairs for pool and afternoon tea .
Afternoon tea was good and treatment was great.
The whole spa facility was grubby and did not feel clean

Me and a friend came to a spa day with afternoons tea on Monday. The afternoon tea was lovely but we were very disappointed with the spa. We have been before so knew what to expect however when we got there the hot tub was not in use. (This ended up being the whole time we were there) so we didn’t go into the spa until after are afternoon tea. We only ended up spending about 40 mins in there as found it was very dirty and no one seemed to be making an effort to keep it clean. Even the pool had bits floating on it.
