    Fantastic
We had a fantastic night with the best George Michael tribute ever, Rob Lambretti and band. Be warned parking is very expensive. We paid £19.80 for 6 hours And I MUST express my concerns with the security duo the Pavillion employed on the night. I witnessed how they performed which was aggressive. They had no people skills. We witnessed an innocent man whom was enjoying the act simply stood near the front was told to go back to his seat but within a minute of that conversation the man was shoved with a force. It was okay for women to do it as we witnessed. People in aisles was aggressively told to sit. But it was okay during break to clog the aisles, as we had difficulty trying to get to the toilets. You clearly need a security team that have a positive way of asking your paying guests to remain in your seats. Or make clear in the beginning!

    Fantastic
The theatre is beautiful, located near the town centre by the town gardens. Lovely features and facilities with excellent staff. Went to see the best George Michael tribute act, Rob Lamberti who was outstanding. A brilliant evening all round.

    Terrible evening
Went to see Beverly Knight. The support act was dire. Show started at 7.30 but Beverly not on stage until 8.45. There was no interval instead the lights stayed down and a DJ came in stage. When BK came on stage everyone stood up. Unfortunately the woman two rows in front never sat down. Therefore we did not see any of the show. No member of staff asked her to sit down. We are too old to stand through the whole performance. We paid for a seat and expected to be able to see the show whilst sitting down. Will definitely think twice before going to another musical concert at this venue. Terrible evening that we paid good money for.

We decided to go to see the Comedy Club last night 4th Dec. It was awful and I mean awful. We went to the box office to purchase tickets and they charged more than price on-line price? The bar was over priced and closed early, they turn the heating off half way through the show, so everyone was freezing. There was three comedians, when it was planned for four. All got hellaciously boo off, one turned up late so it took him 20mis to set up, we thought this was part of the act ah so unprofessional. It was so bad that after first comedian finished half audience went home. The intervals was over 30mins long for each comedy act so the audience was spending more time fiddling on their phone than watching any comedy act. Shocking, and no apology from booking office, they’d gone home.

I’ve been to some comedy shows in my time, but never again to this place.

I regret to say that BPT has failed my family by obdurately refusing to issue refunds for a performance booked for the beginning of April.

Not only has no refund emerged but staff have failed to engage with the questions on my repeated emails. I have tried to telephone but of course there is no answer.

This is appalling service for a social enterprise. Families up and down the country are finding themselves in financial difficulty and yet the Pavilion allows itself to hang on to more than £100 of my money.

I would like to know where this money currently is, who has it and why no refunds are forthcoming.

It is not good enough to say the company may rearrange - the date may not be suitable, and the moment has frankly passed as it was for a birthday present.

Went to see 10cc. The band were better than I expected very pleased with them. However it seemed fitting that a band I first heard in the 70’s were playing in a hall where the seating came out of a 70’s double decker. I am tall and the only place I could fit my legs into a space was the gap between the seats which I could not due to a very uncomfortable pair of binoculars occupying the space where my knee would fit. The seats were absolutely jammed in with no space between the rows to talk about. I complained to receptionist who was very short about the subject rudely informing me that the binoculars had been there forever along with the seats. The whole feel of the place was antwacky and grubby. The covid marshal was on the terrace guzzling beer the staff seemed not to care anyway. The worst part was everyone was leaning so they could see around the sea of heads in front of them which had s knock on effect for the rows behind. If you sat up straight you could not see the band ( and I am tall) for heads in front of you. Eventually I noticed that the only place to be was in the isles on the side with all the other taller people and the discomfort of the seats was already a subject before I stood up. And believe this or not these were premium seat who knows what the cheap seats were like. Living in Bournemouth we do not expect much more from BH live they thrive on cheap seats at premium prices after all tourists are here to be fleeced. Premium seats pish

Pantomime has now hiked up in price to an extortionate level for 2022 !!

No child prices, no early bird booking, straight down the line £35 per ticket. What a rip off.

We have been coming to pavilion pantomime every year for decades, family tradition.

You won't see us again.

Unbelievable, for shame.

Treated ourselves to a Panto performance of Aladdin on New years eve. And even with a few of the actors off sick they gave us a Great performance. The production was great fun and the theatre is a fab place to go see a show. Well done to the whole cast for giving us a fun few hours.

We went for Post Modern Jukebox grand tour concert a few nights ago and had such a lovely time.

Venue is spacious and iconic to Bournemoth with strategic location near the beach.

We checked their website which says only cards accepted for food and beverage but was told we had to pay cash for the ice cream at stalls when we were there so do bring cash along anyway. Wish they had been clear on their website though the cafe downstairs do sell the ice cream and you can pay with card for it.

The toilets really need a change as the flushing system is way too old and with the amount of crowds in the theatre, current set up really doesn’t support a hygienic toilet experience.

Other than that, it was nice to get back into attending live music and concerts again, post pandemic.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you had a lovely time at the Pavilion and enjoyed the show. Unfortunately, as the building is nearing it's 100th birthday, we do encounter some issues such as the flushing system. We're always looking to make improvements so your comments have been passed on.

My three star rating is based on the appalling ABBA Waterloo Tribute show on Friday evening. The show started thirty minutes late and when it did it was truly dreadful. The sound was loud and distorted and for some reason they kept shining very bright white lights at the audience. We have seen this band on three previous occasions and they were one of the best tribute bands we have seen, not anymore, obviously a change in line up as the main singers if you hear them were dreadful and sound technicians that haven't got a clue what they are doing. Despite requests from the theatre management they couldn't even be bothered to make an announcement for the delay, which was allegedly due to a technical problem, something the audience would be able to confirm as it didn't go away.
The three star marking definitely does not apply to the theatre. The Pavilion is one of our favourite theatres and the staff were really tremendous. We left after thirty minutes and they were brilliant, even offering to give us a full refund, which we could not accept, as it was not the theatres fault, as like us they probably thought they were hiring a professional top quality band as they used to be . We will definitely be back to the Pavilion as it is an excellent theatre and very well run.

Thank you for your comments about the theatre and the staff, it genuinely makes a difference to hear that their efforts are appreciated. The feedback regarding specific touring shows is very useful as it helps us to work with the visiting companies to make future events better. We hope to see you at the Pavilion again soon. The most appalling panto I have ever seen. It was boring, tedious and devoid of fun. Even the kids were bored. The ones sitting next to us looked bemused rather than entertained. I felt sorry for the cast which had to struggle with such a lame script. To say it was conceptually flawed would be an understatement. The show had been running for 10 or more minutes before we found that this really was supposed to be Snow White. There was great deal of nonsense singing and dancing completely unrelated to the story. There was little meaningful interaction with the audience. The actors lacked basic stage craft skills, such as the ability to project their voices. And arriving on stage wearing a variety of silly frocks does not make a panto. The jokes were lame and many were not funny. Importantly, there wasn't even an evil queen to boo at. Instead it was a 'silly' queen obsessed with plastic surgery. I suppose the script writer thought that this made it 'modern'. But if they think thay are better than the Brothers Grimm, they are very wrong. How can it be Snow White without an Evil Queen? And there were SIX dwarves, not seven. The Muddles tried hard but as for the rest.... oh dear! Avoid.

We watched ‘don’t stop believing’ tonight. We’re home early as we left at half time. What we could see of the show was pretty underwhelming but the whole of the event appeared to be an excuse for 40 plussers to go out and get sh*t faced and have a sing and dance. It was just like a nightclub, p*ssheads all around you with music in the background. We’ve been to many shows, a few at the pavilion where we had a great time but tonight was an expensive disappointment. We like a sing a long (which was how the show was advertised) and to have fun but people stood up early on. If you couldn’t stand for whatever reason the show was pointless. Drunk people were going back and forth to the bar with no consideration for others. People around us moved elsewhere. One person turned to the people in front of us as said ‘we’ll be f*cking singing and dancing tonight!’ those people soon left. I give two stars because the staff were friendly and gave us an option to move but it wouldn’t have made much of a difference. Unfortunately it’s put us off going back which is a shame.

I’m sorry that the behaviour of some of the other patrons prevented you from enjoying the show. I’m glad to hear that the staff were friendly and attempted to find alternative seats for you, and hope that you will give the theatre another chance in the near future. Regards, R. Noverraz
