This museum has very out of date information. If you know your history or would like to know, its really not the place for you! The replicas however are nice to look at

I am glad we did not read the reviews before we visited as it may have put us off going. It is definitely overpriced and made to feel even more so when you have to pay extra to see the Mummy exhibition. We stuck only to the Tutankhamen Exhibition and my 8 year old loved it. The first half is... More

The museum was fine (if a little small). But it was very over priced. And nothing for children to do or keep them interested. For a single person or couple without children then maybe three stars.

All replicas. Very small size museum. Takes only a few minutes to walk around. And it would be expensive - even if it was free!! Don't go here

Well worth a visit, but there is a lot to read in here and it is rather difficult as the lighting is very low? That said it's still worth going if you like this sort of thing. You have to pay extra for the mummy exhibition. There is a joint ticket you can buy here which makes it much cheaper?... More

Disgusted to think that this exhibition gets away with its admission fee! Surely there is some sort of grading of exhibitions to establish a maximum entrance fee to protect the public against the extortion of paying for what is a ten minute tour?! Take the money you would spend on this place and pay for a train to London to... More

I'd read other reviews of this place before visiting, so my expectations were low, but we were in Dorchester for a few days and were researching Egyptology so it made sense to at least have a look at the exhibition, after all... How bad could it possibly be? The answer to that question is, 'Worse than we could have imagined'.... More

We paid £17 for the two of us to get in, then another few pounds to access a mummie museum, when we had finished the main part. So in total we paid over £23 ! No one to guide through or even inside the very small exhibition to talk to you . Everything inside is replica but could not see... More

I was excited to visit this museum as Egyptian and mummies fascinate me, the museum was extortionate to get into is a lot of reading with very little to see, the tomb was quite spectacular but that's the only thing it has going for it.
