Run by the National Trust visitors will be disappointed on most occasions to find the car park closed and there is absolutely no alternative parking on the single track approach road.

I have visited Hardy Monument on several occasions, the views out towards Weymouth and Dorchester are amazing. Loads of great walks. The forest has been cleared back to its original state (1940). Trees were plant to support the coal mines so now the Cole mines...More
