I did not know that many Kings of Wessex are buried here. The stained widows are very beautiful and depict many points in the history of the place. It really is worth a visit.

A warm welcome awaits you as you enter this beautiful Abbey. Th fan vaulting - one of the best in the UK - is something to behold and the guides will be there to help you. Stay for a service and you will hear the excellent choir directed by Paul Ellis.

One of the very oldest abbeys in England, used for coronations occasionally and for funerals. Look for the memorials for old kings of wessex
