A beautiful castle overlooking a tranquil landscape, with an interesting history. Very well preserved and presented inside. Unfortunately, no photography permitted inside at all. Walking around the grounds and the huge lake was very peaceful and enjoyable.

The castle had pleasant gardens and some interesting rooms, lots of portraits of the Digby family. Helpful room guides. Some privately owned stately homes feel quite homely but we didn't feel that was the case here, it was more of a show piece. No photography...More

Go into the castle drive, pay admission at the ticket box, you are then directed to the castle and parking. It is a large area close to the castle
