Had a lovely leisurely bbq in the garden on Saturday, there was only the bbq menu available so will have to go back to try the full menu but very good quality burger and the open crab sandwich was a delight. Fantastic drinks, lots of good ale choices and a multitude of gins! Can't wait to try it again and... More

I would have loved to have given this hotel a 5 star rating, which in most respects it thoroughly deserved. It is a lovely personalised hotel with very nice staff and clearly caring owners who put their heart into the business. My room was most pleasant and the bathroom was excellent. The breakfast was superb and, I am sure if... More

Our chosen restaurant was cont serving on a Sunday but the owner recommended the Queens Arms so we entered details into the sat nag and drove from Sherborne. On reaching narrow country lanes we did wonder whether we had made a good choice. Found the pub and in we went. Owner was most helpful and we ordered our meal and... More

Took hubby for his 50th birthday and had a glorious meal... The food is amazing the service fantastic. The Queens Arms may seem a little expensive however we went to Carluccio's a week later for my birthday and it was a lot more expensive! This is a real destination pub and well worth the drive if your lucky enough to... More

Comfortable rooms in a village pub that has been gentrified so as to up the room rate. We stayed there for 1 night and whilst the bed was comfortable there was a constant issue with the bedside lights/power circuit that kept tripping out. They obviously knew of the problem but hadn't manage to get around to fixing it. Very modern... More

I first visited the Queens Arms back in December as needed somewhere to stay whilst working nearby and treated myself to two nights. Had Room 2 which I have to say is gorgeous and the bathroom, wow! Food fabulous and because Christmas was coming the pub itself was dressed beautifully making for a lovely atmosphere. Anyway returned with friend for... More

My wife and I stayed at The Queens Arms in April 2016 using it as a base to visit the countryside and villages in the Sherborne region. The room we stayed in was excellent as was the evening dinner and breakfast. The pub is in the small hamlet of Corton Denham and is a great location for visiting Sherborne or... More

This is a pub in the most beautiful Corton Denham Valley. It is privately owned and the landlord welcomes dogs welly boots and children. It is a quintessentially English pub with good food in the bar or the restaurant. Like so many pubs, the food can be variable and depends on which of the chefs is having a day off.... More

We visit this pub on thursday night for a testing menu. The staff was really welcoming and the food was simply amazing, we had a 7 courses testing men and each of them was spot on, we are really fussy about food so I can tell you that the quality was fantastic and we had a different wine for each... Visited here for the first time with friends for a Sunday lunch. The staff were very welcoming and the food excellent. Due to almost perfect weather we were able to enjoy the gardens and the surrounding views. Pleased to see they also welcomed dogs (and children). We will be making a return visit soon.
