We are a friendly social club that welcomes its club members and the general public situated in Swanage. We offer great beer, locally sourced food and great entertainment along with Sky and BT Sport packages. It has a community feel and is definitely worth a visit.

A recent return to Swannage British Legion for the Blues fest. Last here 2018 but the Steward recognized me straight off & a nice friendly welcome. great staff & friendly locals. Beers at reasonable prices & small dining area with nice affordable grub , recommend the barbecued ribs .

Last 2 nights at Legion for the Swanage Blues Festival 2022 with great performances by Hugh Budden, Zoe Schwarz of Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion, Rob Koral, Vince Lee, et al 🎶💃🕺💛🥰
Great event that occurs twice yearly and all thanks to Steve Darrington for organising it.
Venue is great and the lots of seats with some dance space in the front of the band. Serving staff was great too, many thanks to Elmo and team!

Recently re-opened after lockdown the RBL has used the down time wisely,carrying out refurbishments,widening the menu and stocking the locally produced Moonlight beer.
Although it is a club, visitors are made very welcome and this is an excellent place to eat and drink away from the seafront.Families are welcome in the restaurant,the menu is wide enough for most tastes and the food is very good.

We moved to Swanage nearly 6 years ago now and some of our highlights of our time here has been the great welcome we received from Elmo (Dave) and his lovely team. Whether you’re looking for a snack or meal Ash is ‘the’ chef in Swanage. He uses fab local produce at very reasonable prices which is always excellent.
You don’t have to be a member to enjoy their hospitality.

Every time I go to the Swanage RBL I am disappointed .I have heard either the head chef or manager bullying his young staff a few times when he thinks the customers are not listening and I suppose that`s why so many staff are changing all the time.I think if you are Gordon Ramsay and famous people think he is eccentric when he is bully staff but he pays them good money but the RBL chef pays the lowest wage to students and they leave the club in a few weeks after starting when they get fed up with the abuse.
The food is not bad but I could see one of the staff was sneezing all the time and I hope it was just hayfever.
I only go to this club because my partner is member and can`t afford to go to better restaurants .

We have been coming to Swanage for over 20 years and kept walking past every year saying we must join.
We did it this year and wish we had done it years ago.
Friendly staff and customers and great beer at a great price, thanks RBL Swanage because of you and your staff and customers, oh and the beer and the cleanliness of the place we will be signing up for a membership.
