Nicely restored Victorian era type pier which I think is the quintessential UK seaside pier. There is a pound per person "strolling" fee which goes to the restoration fund which we didn't mind paying as maintaining history is important. There are excellent views up towards...More

Minimal entrance fee and lovely views. I really loved the plaques all along the pier. A great way to raise money to keep the pier going.

Well looked after and run pier in a lovely seaside town. There’s a nice cafe, plenty of benches, lots of bronze plaques to read and of course, wonderful views. Plenty to see with boats mooring and the local diving school plus a little museum. A...More

This is a pier that has retained it's olde-world charm. It has nothing much on it apart from the 1000 or so brass plaques set in the deck, but it's a nice 20 minute stroll to the end and back. It's a £1 to get...More

A charming pier jutting out into the harbour. There is a small fee to access the pier but it’s all for a good cause, you can also visit the lovely cafe.

The pier is a must, we have a plaque there and go to check on it. The price has gone up considerably though and it’s now £1 to stroll, but well worth it.

We were here for the day only, so had to capture as much as possible in a short time, but the pier was a must, years ago I used to come her to SCUBA dive, not too much has changed, still as loverly as ever

We visited the pier, which was only a pound each, on each day we stayed in Swanage and loved the extended views it gave you of Old Harry Rocks and the harbour. A peaceful and enjoyable place to go

A lovely little pier kept to a high standard by an army of volunteers. I enjoyed looking at some of the 7001 (as of September 2018) memorial plaques on the walkway. The volunteers were approachable and helpful. The nominal entry fee of £1 goes towards...More

The short pier at Swanage is worth a visit with good views from the end out to sea and back towards the resort. There is information about several wrecks in the Channel which has been provided by the Diving Centre on the pier. For those...More

Sorry I am not in Swanage now but was told that the pier was aiming to open late summer. I suggest you ring pier master to confirm or Swanage Tourist Information
