I should have known when Ray failed to return numerous emails in advance of the trip that he was unreliable, but I could not have expected it to be this bad. We got up at 4 am and took a train from London to Brighton for a 7:30 departure only to find an empty boat and Ray nowhere in sight.... More

Booked what was meant to be a nice day out fishing with Ray and his Grey Viking boat. I read the comments above prior to booking, but thought I would take a punt as the YouTube videos look fun. Sadly, these videos must have been taken with a Ray lookalike because we have had nothing but hassle trying to get... More

Appreciate when going fishing you can never guarantee catching fish, however after a full day and only a handful of fish caught, it was disappointing to say the least. Especially as the boats around us were all catching fish! Ray the skipper, essentially left us to it, with absolute minimal direction on how to attach the bait, use the rods... More

After a couple of cancellations we were really looking forward to our sea fishing trip out of Brighton. However after arriving at the boat we were greeted by a rude and confrontational skipper, he clearly didn't want people on his boat ! As we were a group of inexperienced fishermen, all had sea fished at least once, we left it... More

Tried 3 times to book fishing with Grey Viking, on each occasion when I rang as instructed, I was told the weather was too poor. On the last occasion I travelled to Brighton to see for myself. The sea was like glass and not a breath of wind. It was clear that the skipper Ray couldn't be bothered. I would... More

I have been twice with this company for family fun fishing days. We usually book atleast half the boat and take around 10-15 people and have a good 2 hours fishing in the sun. Everyone can do it, young and old and then at the end of it you have beautiful fresh fish to bbq on a cool summer afternoon!... More

We had a great day on the Grey Viking. We went out for Plaice fishing with Ray on a lovely sunny day in October. Ray was very nice and patience with all of us. He taught us what we needed to know and we got on with it. The trip was a great success and we caught lots of Plaice,... More

Having booked early in January 2013 for the Conger Eel fishing on the Grey Viking 9 months later I thought that everything would go smoothly... It couldn't be further from the truth, having struggled to get all the party fully committed, accommodation booked and even the taxis to get to the Marina bright and early I thought that I would...
