Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were a friends group of 6 and had a fab time on bike tours with Carlo he was very formative and he had a great sense of humour , we did the afternoon bike ride 2.30 which was just right and got back to base at 5 which was a 2.5 hour bike ride , we stopped on the way a few times and stopped for a tea or coffee and ice cream (not including the price ) I would recommend this as it’s fun and safe .
Thankyou Carlo

We are so glad we took the plunge and booked this, it was the best 2 and half hours. Carlo our guide was full of fun and humour, making the tour interesting and enjoyable, as well as covering a huge amount of ground. We are not regular bike riders but found the bikes extremely comfortable and easy to ride, there were also no real hills which was a massive plus for us! I can highly recommend this tour and you will save yourself a lot of time wondering where all the best places to eat and shop are just by going on it.
Thank you Carlo. Donna & Sarah

Took the cycle tour with my 17 year old daughter & we both loved it. Carlo was good fun & very knowledgeable.

Ended up riding to Hove Lagoon where we stopped for a cuppa. During this break Carlo provided us with a map & highlighted areas/restaurants of interest to us. Thank you for the top tips Carlo

We also enjoyed the physical exercise as well as the tour. Would highly recommend as something ‘different’.

No surprise this tour is listed as the number 1 thing to do in Brighton. It was a fantastic tour! Our guide, Carlo, was very knowledgeable about the city and an all around fun guy! We were able to see the city on the tour and after the tour, we took a few hours to explore areas that interested us. Carlo also recommended restaurants for dinner. We chose one, and it was delicious! He also took several great pics of us along the way!

We booked for the bike tour and were really looking forward to it. However when we arrived at the meeting point we were told children (aged 11 and 9) could not go. I had booked for 2 adults and 2 "students" - presumably children do not count as "students"?!! There is no mention of not taking children on the web site, and Carlo said this had happened before only that week (half-term). Carlo said he would alter the wording on the web site, which we urge him to do. It is not clear that the tour is not for children. Very disappointed. Don't make the same mistake! I have rated "average" because Trip Advisor has no category for "didn't happen"!

I can take 9 -11 year olds on the Brighton Bike tour. But Only on a 'Private Tour' and not the general tour. This is because of two reasons. Firstly, extra caution is taken with children on the tour, and this isn't always possible when on the standard bike tour with other adult groups. Secondly I need to hire the children’s bikes as sadly I don't have the room to store them. I am very sorry that I was unable to give you and your family a bike tour, and even more sorry for not having properly explaining at the time about the Family tours. . I do need to, and will be amending my website to clearly state this, so this doesn't happen again. Many thanks for your generous review, even though the tour didn't go ahead, and I hope you all enjoyed the rest of your time in Brighton. Kind Regards Carlo

We had a lovely tour and enjoyed exploring off the beaten track. Thanks for an informative and fun time. It was great value for money and was well paced for all abilities. Felt safe and in control in the Brighton traffic.

Thank you for pointing out the feeling safe aspect of the bike tour. I do take saftly seriously and though there isnt much of the tour on main roads, due caution is taken. This is a great ride! It's a great way to get a feel for Brighton, learn a bit of it's history, and odd trivia. Carlo (our guide) was great. He was great at briefing us beforehand, warning us of whatever, keeping us together as a group (there were 8 of us) despite the varying cycling abilities. It helped that we had a perfect weather day. To top it off he provided spot on recommendations for the necessary after-cycle beer and food. Thanks Carlo!

My friend and I are so lucky to be the only two guests that day. The sites shown us around are interesting while I believe there are some more points of interests... It was said to be a 2.5h tour, but from my experience, that is around 1.5h.

We took a private family bike tour (4 adults, 2 teens, 2 children) with Carlo and Brighton Bike Tours and we had a great time. What a fantastic way to see the area! We booked a morning tour and arrived early so we got to see the area immediately around the meet point without the crowds. Once on our bikes, we toured all over Brighton and Hove, in the city, through markets, and along the boardwalk. Carlo maintained a thoughtful pace so that our whole crew could keep up, he led a safe ride, and made plenty of stops to share local history and trivia. What a great day trip from London this was! And it was 100% better thanks to this bike tour.
