Historic Experiences offer a bespoke guided tour designed to your needs and interest. From history tours giving an outline of the history of Hastings to special interest, churches and architecture or food and drink - we can create a tour for you. We specialize in small groups from individuals to groups of up to 25. Available most days and times - please contact us. Tina has 30 years of experience of leading guided walks and designing itineraries to suit various groups. Please contact for fee. Tina met us at our hotel and, in three hours, showed us the places we’d never find ourselves and added stories from local folklore. Untiring enthusiasm.

I had no idea what to expect but put it this way - if I had very high expectations, they were certainly met.
I am reluctant to reveal much detail as I don't want to spoil it for others - so just the practicalities.
The walk lasts 1 ½ hours. It is suitable for children (as long as they're not very easily scared - perhaps over 7's). The guide involved the children throughout the visit and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
The walk is on pathways through the town, some narrow and some a bit steep but manageable. One lady in the group was actually on crutches and managed very well.
The guide took great care when crossing roads with traffic.

Fantastic Tour with our large group with Tina leading the Ghost Walk and what a wonderful experience
All of our group felt that this was the highlight of their stay in Hastings and this gave them the impetus to return again
There is a slightly alternative route for those with walking disabilities

Netting in the old town was greeted with a lovely freind welcome the narrator was really involved with what he was saying and doing and just a lovely chap all round
The other actors was super too very comical and great fun very interesting to here about the old town and the smuggles house was epic I'm so glad we all went and had a lovely time and we all agreed the relaxed attitude with the actors and the tickets at the end was lovely

I hadn't intended to review my experience with Hastings Old Town Ghost Walk as I had only gotten as far as trying to buy tickets. Their website sent me on a magical mystery tour, which I can only hope is less exciting than their tours of the Old Town. Clicking on the 'Book Tickets' icon sends you to a page explaining how to click on the 'Book Tickets' icon, so heaven knows which link allows you to actually book. I tried clicking 'Enquire About Availability' and it brought me to this page asking me to leave a review of their service on Tripadvisor, so I have. Oops.

My friend and I attended this evening and it lived up to a scary, jumpy evening apt for Halloween! The guide was very knowledgeable and her assistants were very helpful, lighting the way with torches up spooky passages and stairways! In addition to this our group were surprised by an actor dressed as some of the characters, but we didn't have any idea when these appearances were going to happen, so this added to the ghostly atmosphere!

We have wanted to go on this walk for many years now but for one reason or another have never been able to, so I don't know if it was because of long overdue expectations but we didn't enjoy it as much as we expected.
We found it to be contradictory with some of the historical tales, while you know legends always vary, it may be a good thing to point out that there are some differences between where certain people have lived/died.
There was also long walks between stories and we felt it would have been better to cover other lesser known ghosts whilst walking to keep people's interest going. The actors/ghosts were all very good and entertaining though.
So on the whole, while it was a good tour, we feel it could have been a lot better

This ghost walk was so much fun! Taking you through the lanes and alleys of the old town, it is both informative and a laugh. There are 4 people taking you through the different stories, plus the most fabulous gent who appears out of nowhere during the various stops, dressed as different characters and putting on a performance. certainly made us jump a few times. This tour is approx. 70 mins long. They don't rush you, which is good because it is very hilly, and there are some steep climbs in places. It was fascinating to see parts of Hastings we hadn't realised were there during our own walk around. Highly recommended.

This was a really great way to have fun and see hidden parts of Hastings at the same time. The use of really great actors really brings it to life. And the guides were more than happy to give some history and general info about Hastings. I took my son of 9 along and he really enjoyed it too. Only shame was i would have loved to do it in the dark, and im sure the effect on him would have been ever greater.

My mother was visiting for the weekend so I thought I'd book us onto this trip having never done it before and as a way for her to learn about the Old Town.
After mentioning it to friends that have also lived here many years they decided to book and join us.
We all loved the evening. Really entertaining stories and interesting facts about the Old Town. We all came away knowing more about the history of our town.
The 'ghosts' as well as scary also cracked some great jokes.
Highly recommend it to visitors and residents.
