We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited this free museum in September. It is only very small and the staff on duty certainly did not engage with us at all. There are notices everywhere forbidding you to take photos. I guess for locals it will be of interest, but unfortunately, it was not for us.

Lots of old photos displayed in themes to illustrate Hastings through the years. They have books for sale and leaflets on walks. Staffed by volunteers who are enthusiastic about their town.

This is an excellent place that will be able to tell you all that you would want to know about Hastings, whether from the displays, books or from the staff that work there

There are also locally written books to buy there which are all quite interesting and locally unique

First visit was to research our family history. Little did we know we would actually meet a new member of our family. The information we needed on Old Hastings and the fishing families was all there. Nothing ws too much trouble as information was printed off for us. Books and pamphlets were available to buy at reasonable prices.

We came across this in a lovely part of the town and popped in. I am so glad we did. There are fascinating things to look at, plentiful books to buy and very well informed volunteers. I was planning to visit the grave of an ancestor and thought that we would spend ages searching for it. The gentleman in the History House gave me a brilliant leaflet which pinpointed exactly where to go. Thankyou so much.

Nice little place for when the British weather does its usual trick. Good to keep dry and exercise the brain whilst you're about it too.
