    Something different
We had this on our to do list for our break in Hastings, something a bit different, that we were all interested in and we can take doggy. It didn’t disappoint, some really interesting exhibits and stories. Being set in a cave is a huge bonus, really adds to the atmosphere - it wouldn’t feel the same in a normal boring room. Staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit
Good afternoon Nikki, Thank you for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed the Museum and our exhibits. We hope you'll come back and visit us again soon. The True CRIME Museum Team.

    Interesting information
Interesting little museum. Worth the admission fee. Good atmosphere. Set in caves. Teen was very interested as were the adults. Youngest who can read needed shielding from some information. Us adults and the dog sensed ghosts/spirits. Lovely that it is a dog friendly attraction. Great couple of hours spent.
Good afternoon Laura, Thank you for your great review :) We are so pleased your family enjoyed your experience with us. We hope you'll come back and visit us again soon. The True CRIME Museum Team.

    Worth a visit
Our second visit to this museum. We enjoyed our first visit a few years ago and our second visit today (Sept 3rd) was just as good with a few more “attractions”. Excellent information and amazing history accompanies all the exhibits. It is rather eerie but at the same time very interesting and it’s so hard to believe those people actually committed those dreadful murders. The museum is definitely worth a visit.
Hi Geoff! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a great 5* review. Really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your return visit to the museum as much as your first, and we hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards The True CRIME Museum Team.

    It’s a good unique museum
This was a good unique museum with lots of interesting artefacts. It’s fairly tight to get around with a wheelchair, but doable if someone is pushing. There are lots of interesting items from murderous and criminal histories and they are fascinating to see. Spent about 90 minutes there and did not read everything. So a good visit.
Hi Karl, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the museum and to took your time looking around the exhibits. The True CRIME Museum Team.

Not as big as I had expected but the team have put together something that treads a tricky path between gore and family friendly. The ticket price is mitigated by being usable for re entry on the day, and had I had more time I would have taken advantage of this, because there was quite a lit of text heavy, interesting notation that added to the experiance.

The cave setting is atmospheric but can get a bit chilly.

Interesting place to visit, yes it’s small but still worth a look, can take 1-2 hrs, we sat and watched the video clips of murderers speaking their own word which was equally interesting.

We had fun sitting in the electric chair, a bit macabre but still fun 😃

Not bad value for money 3 of us were seniors so a good saving, the member of staff who took our payment was really lovely and friendly, he explained about things, and also informed us we could come and go as many times as we wanted on that day til closing time at 5 pm.

Thank you 🙏

A great museum, me and my son spent a good hour and a half looking round and reading all of the information. Seeing the original letters from Richard Ramirez 'The Night Stalker' to his English pen pal were worth the entrance fee alone in my eyes! Artwork by Charles Bronson was another highlight as were the original barrels used by John George Haigh, The Acid Bath Murderer. Hopefully when we next visit there will be even more to see.

To call this museum fun might be a mistake but it is absorbing as well as gruesome, macabre and dark! It is not full of high tech screens and to be honest, this is a virtue. It is full of exhibits in glass cases and some models in scenarios and these all stimulate conversation from inquisitive visitors (usually young boys and their parents!)
Best of all, it's dog-friendly and it was great to wander around with the family pet when everyone made a fuss of her amid all the gory exhibits.
The venue is also accessible with wide entrances and plenty of space for dogs and wheelchairs - a truly accessible museum.

We'd heard of the museum over Facebook before our weekend away and our group of 4 adults and 3 children were all very excited to actually go and we weren't disappointed. It's a great little place, lots of interactive things for the children to keep them involved and the added Easter Trail was highly enjoyed by our children, definitely a winner for us. The 'electric chair' was also a highlight 😊

The staff were great, friendly and very helpful, answering any questions we had and on hand at the very end with directions and recommendations for the local area.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon here we'd definitely recommend.

Not sure how visitors can get around this museum in 30 minutes, it took us about one and three quarter hours.
So much information and some amazing artefacts.
Granted it is a bit on the small size but maybe this is an advantage as not too much walking involved!

Hi Lynne Thank you for this great review! I am glad you found plenty to occupy you, we genuinely believe no-one could get round it in less than an hour if they take time to read all the information, watch the 12 minute film, and have a go at the various activities. Kind regards from the True Crime Museum team

What an interesting mix of creepy stuff! Loved the hands on exhibits and the Easter hunt. The day was made even better by 'Paul' the chap who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and really enhanced our experience. We will be back in June for more of the macabre !!

Arrived early on a very cold morning, to be greeted by two lovely staff members who were very pleasant, amusing and talking with us. I'd seen the museum on a paranormal Youtube video and thought it looked interesting. Well it was! We spent a good two hours here, the exhibits were fascinating and well shown, with lots of information to read, and some to Interact with. We thought that £8.50 each was perhaps a little steep for some, but we enjoyed it anyway! The baby farmer, Amelia Dyers dress and photo were, I think, the most awful........those eyes......! Hint : wrap up warm, it's cold in there!.

Interesting place to visit, but it is small so if you don't like confined spaces it probably isn't the place for you. A few large groups came in which made it quite noisy but we let them move ahead of us. Quite a lot to read and a video to watch. Allow an hour or so if you want to read everything.

Our visit here was a real highlight of the day. It was a fascinating insight into some of the most prolific and gruesome murderers through history.

Expect facts rather than sensationalist displays. You can learn a lot about the criminals, the victims, their back story, and how they were caught.

There is a room where you can try for yourself, the methods that have been used to catch criminals. Most of the museum consists of displays of artifacts and information.

We were in the museum for a couple of hours at least, to see everything properly. It's a great place for adults and older children
