If you like the smell of wet dogs then this is for you. Dog friendly pub but it hit me as I walked in. Dog bowls on the floor. This could be nice, great range of beers but the smell knocked me.

Very friendly staff and plenty of proper beers to chose from. I was able to sit at the bar, chat and enjoy conversation! If it's food you want go somewhere else. I only wanted crisps, pork scratchings, a pint of great beer and service with a smile. I got them all. Cheers!

Lewes isn't exactly short on decent pubs but this smallish establishment is definitely where the local characters hang out. A top place to pop into for a beer & a chat. Management & staff also very accommodating. This isn't a place for hipsters, families or gastro lovers (although there are some pretty decent local pies). If you love a beer... More

It doesn't look a lot from the outside but well worth going in if you love beer and a cosy, warm and friendly environment. Great selection of local beers on draught (about 6) at about £3 to £4 a pint.

Popped in for a couple of pints. It looks a bit dodgy from the outside, but don't be fooled. It is everything that a pub should be. If you expect gastropub faire, trendy hipsters and craft beer - look away. This is a pub which is much like pubs used to be in England. A cosy retreat from a stressful... More

Excellent pub selling a variety of beers. The locals and staff are friendly, but nobody minds if you just want to sit in the corner and read the paper either. Nice selection of local ales, it's an old fashioned pub with no food or coffee

Real Ales & Ciders at their best in this characterful pub. This is obviously a local's pub but visitors are given a warm welcome; this typically British is as good as it gets.
