Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped in for lunch on the way back from Wye. Till and printing problems meant a long wait to be served but I remained positive. Only nine naps left at 3pm and they don’t serve bacon then either. My friend and I ordered separately so given the problems mentioned above she had already been sitting down for five minutes when I joined her at the table. After quite a long time her bap arrived, After a much longer time mine still hadn’t. Eventually even my patience was exhausted and I went to ask after my lunch. The staff looked bemused. No they hadn’t got my order, they had used all the baps. Really counting to nine was beyond both the till and kitchen staff! I went to ask for my refund. It was not 4pm. Well you can have a sandwich was the response. No real sense of an apology. No I won’t be returning, Appalling service,

Oh and if you happen to knock your leg on the shelf and are sitting outside bleeding they will give you a plaster but no accident book or sympathy. I was appalled again but the disinterest shown the poor OAP who suffered this. You should be ashamed of yourselves,

Good choice of organic produce & frozen meals. The frozen sausage rolls were nice though a little pricey. Staff were lovely, nice little shop.

Popped in here to visit the farm shop and bought some plum jam (always reminds me of my Grandma). I had a scone jam and clotted cream and a latte. I don’t think I’ve tasted scones like that since my Granny made them they were delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place if you are passing its well worth a visit 😋

My husband and I have discovered Salts Farm this summer and we visit about three times a week.

Salts Farm coffee is excellent quality. My husband is super fussy on coffee and he says this coffee is now No.1 on his list.

We also love the wide selection of fresh vegetables and fruit that they sell especially the cherries, plums, sweet tomatoes, apples, pears, large garlic bulbs, courgette, greengages etc. The quality of fresh food definitely beats ordinary supermarkets. We are also pleased to see the range of food they have i.e. local meats to a large selection of Cook food.

The girls are always very courteous, friendly and always happy to help. Five star service all round. Thank you to all of Salts Farm team for making each and every visit a lovely experience.

A very good farm shop with lots of food choice, both fresh, chilled, in jars and in tins. The staff were very frienly ahd helpful trying to find what I needed. There's even a little cafe, with seating, both inside and outside, offering drinks and a limited choice of snacks. Just the way to end off your shopping trip.

I thought long and hard before writing a review, I visited this shop recently and as I suffer from tinnitus I am very conscious that it can be difficult serving someone who cannot hear well however I am always polite and courteous but sadly I was not treated the same. I was served by a woman with short grey hair and glasses who thought that shouting at me and getting impatient was the best customer service to give, sadly this woman just walked off while I was trying to tell her that I had a hearing problem I did wait at the till but she never came back. Full marks to the lovely kind lady with long dark hair and glasses who did come, listened to me, spoke clearly and took my order. i doubt that I will be going back and definitely would not recommend this place.

Best coffee for a long time...and the bacon baps were good too! Worth the wait as they were freshly cooked.

Lovely little farm shop / cafe with lots of local products. With seating inside and out, they offer a range of yummy homemade cakes. Staff were friendly and welcoming and very Covid aware. Prices were more than reasonable. With plenty of parking, well worth a visit.

The Farm Shop Café’s snack menu is quite limited but good in that it offers homemade items sourced from Winchelsea and near Battle.
We were somewhat bemused that our ham bap and tea order took 20-25 minutes to arrive and even more bewildered that fruit scones, jam and cream took another 20+ minutes to reach us.
Not sure we’ve ever observed orders generated from a menu-driven till not being accessed regularly and dealt with efficiently.
Sadly this first visit will also be our last!

In this time of pandemic and the measures needed to keep us safe, the staff at the farm shop do everything that they should, and more. Everyone is expected to log in on entry, on the NHS site or by leaving contact details. There are masks for those that have not brought one with them and also plenty of hand gel to sanitize before entry. Unlike many of the shops and premises I have visited the rules are enforced with very few exceptions.
This farm shop serves great coffee as well as a fine selection of English cheeses and prepared food for you to take home and cook yorself. The steak and kidney pie is mouth watering good. Of course the shop also sells a wide range of good quality fresh fruit and vegetables which should not be missed.
I heartily recommend the farm shop and cafe and will visit here whenever I am passing.
