Out of a group of 6, they got 5 orders wrong. Did not offer to correct the order. Eventually agreed but never delivered. Rude waitress. Good choice of ales though and service at the bar was good.

This pub has food too and it delivers good honest grub which is reasonably priced and cost effective. The beer is good and fresh (not cloudy) and a good range of ales as well. Staff are great and helpful and very efficient. All in all, a nice place to take the family and eat.

This pub has had a recent make over. Its very clean and comfortable with large bench seating as well as table/chairs. If its just a drink you want you will be warmly welcomed. If you want to eat, there is a substantial menu and the food is superb! also very reasonably priced. They do an excellent Sunday lunch menu with... More

Sorry to say the food here has gone dramatically down hill. The old plough used to be full to the brim at weekends with people after food but the recent refurbishment and updated menus leave a lot to be desired. The pub garden however is very nice on a sunny day for a beer, just steer clear of the food!

Went back to the Old Plough as we heard it had been given a makeover. We were pleasantly surptrised. The new decor has been done very well and in good taste. The miserable landlord was even a little more pleasant but he has a long way to until he becomes a pleasant character. We ordered two meals which arrived quite quickly and were... Enjoyed the sharing platter with my wife but be warned it probably is meant for four folks but then we just went to a dessert of the caramel. Both courses were very nice and served by a pleasant waitress who asked if everything was OK. Adnams Broadside was on hand pump, as was local brew Harveys... both were well kept... More

Two excellent meals, chilli chicken salad (and what a salad).MMmm Fantastic. The curry meal was also very good. All very reasonable priced. The ladies behind the bar were so helpful and cheerful. The pub has been decorated to a very high standard. Would certainly recommend.
