We were in Bourton-on-the-Water and had walked around the village and decided to visit Birdland. It was a lovely few hours to spend wandering around the park. They have a good variety of birds and it was great to be able to get so close to the penguins. The dinosaur walk was also very clever and I can imagine it... More

Visited this place yesterday. They have a good collection of birds from around the world. There is a Jurassic Trail too, though not very interesting, in my opinion. Lots of places to sit around for picnic. They also have wooden tables and benches in the park. The kids will definitely enjoy the penguins. Go there on sunny days to have... More

We always go to Birdland when we are in the Cotswolds as the kids still enjoy it regardless of the fact they aren't small anymore. It's a kind of tradition in our family.

We enjoyed our visit to Birdland where there is a good selection of birds to see. You can get within touching distance of the penguins and watch them close up being fed. The accompanying lecture was very informative, although did drag on a bit whilst we waited for the Humboldts to be fed in the water which was the highlight,... More

We visited today with our 2 year old daughter but were really disappointed overall. There was only enough to occupy us for an hour and that cost us £8.96 per adult (thankfully we booked online so got 10% off normal price). I suspect that on a normal day it would have been better, but firstly the dinosaur exhibit was closed,... More

Hi Karen, I am very sorry that you were disappointed by your visit to Birdland, but I think there was some misunderstanding, which could have been corrected had you spoken to staff at Reception. The Jurassic Journey was not closed - there was a barrier where a fence panel had been removed to allow access. If you cross the bridge... More

This is a must see if you like birds and Penguins. It is great, bit expensive if you have kids but the money goes to the upkeep of this wonderful place to look after the birds. There are so many rare birds there and so interesting.

We visited Birdland many years ago and it was a school project that took us back there, on penguins. The birds are stunning especially the penguins, the two main objections that people have here is the price - well our family of 5 went in for the same as a cinema trip or a couple of theatre tickets (and it... We visited as a family last weekend. It wasn't what we set out to do but the Maze next door was shut! And so we're nearly all of the other Bourton attractions! It was cold and rainy so we were not sure that wandering around in the outside looking at various flying creatures was the best way to spend the... More

We wandered in without any expectations and were blown away. I have never been that close to penguins before. It was such a buzz. The flamingos were incredibly beautiful and the snow owls were stunning!! Best of all we had the whole place to ourselves! Advantage of going in winter. Highlight of our holiday.
