Highly recommend booking the tour & tasting.
Our guide Bethany was amazing, so funny too! You get 6 pints during the tasting so if definitely recommend staying over if you can. If you’re driving you get 2 bottles to take home (and still some half pints during the tasting).
Really nice experience with some good beers/ciders.

Very enjoyable tour at Hawkstone brewery,
Guide was very knowledgeable and made it a relaxing environment especially with the beer tasting which was plentiful.
Tour was 2 hours and finished at 6pm, a further discount was offered in the shop which again were reasonable priced.
Still had time for more tasting as the bar was open till 8pm.
Will definitely return in the summer months.

We booked a guest house in the beautiful picturesque village Bourton on the Water, approx level 15 minute walk to the Brewery. Well what can we say, what a fabulous tour, no queues at all, straight into the bar ordered a pint of Hedgerow Cider on a sunny day it was delicious, Nigel our tour guide was excellent, Nigel is very friendly, knowledgable of the area, Brewery, history and the alcohol brewed. We were offered go big ( a pint ) or small ( half a pint ) with the option to take bottles away with us if we went small ! As we were not driving we went big lol …. Sampled several pints ranging from the different types of Lager, then the cider and a shot of vodka ha ha we felt quite tipsy let’s say then walked around the brewery with more drinks and finished off with a few more ! We then carried on the afternoon sat outside on the benches in the sun, enjoyed a delicious burger and chips from the local van.. Highly recommend going… it lasted 90 minutes but you can stay in the bar drinking, have some food, there’s live music on a weekend in the evening. The small shop sells everything with 10% !
My advice stay over if you can and enjoy the experience…. We loved the village, the tour and went to Didley Squat Farm shop following day which is just 25 mins away by car. Highly recommended.

Amazing informative tour conducted by James who made all the information about the brewing process, the history of the brewery and Jeremy clarksons involvement really interesting. Don’t think you just get a small taster of the different beers it’s nearly full glasses with the great idea of smaller tasters for any drivers who get to take home two full bottles to “compensate” The shot of Hawkstone vodka at the end of the tour is delicious plus there’s 10% off in the shop at the end. Definitely worth the four hour drive from home.
Well done Hawkstone!

My wife & I are big fans of Clarkson's Farm so it made perfect sense to stop off in Bourton-on-the-Water on our way South to pay a visit to the Hawkstone Brewery. We booked onto the 17:30 tour, but decided to go early as we'd read there were Pizza's available. The Pizza was very nice & was washed down by a couple of drinks from the Hawkstone Arms.
We checked in for the tour at the bar & we were shown into a small room within the Hawkstone Arms where we met the other guests & our host/guide Simon. Almost immediately the sampling began & the theme was set. We were provided with the full range of drinks available from the Hawkstone Brewery in copious amounts over the next couple of hours, including a visit into the Brewery itself.
Once the tour had concluded guests were able to continue drinking in the Hawkstone Arms, also there was a 10% discount on purchases from the shop.
Overall the tour was excellent value & I would highly recommend it, we stayed within walking distance of the Brewery, which is advisable, alternatively there is the requirement for a designated driver.
A big shout out goes to our host/guide Simon, absolutely brilliant, very passionate & knowledgeable on the brewing process, he made the whole experience very enjoyable.

We had an amazing time at the brewery tour. Bethany was such an amazing host, she’s bubbly, funny & clearly very passionate about the brewery & products.
The tour is excellent value for money, with very generous tasting samples. We’d recommend walking in if you’re staying near by!! We learnt lots in the 2 hours & it was nice to see where the Hawkstone products started being created.
We stayed after the tour and enjoyed another drink from the bar along with the best burger for the dirty boys burger van on site. A very enjoyable few hours that we would highly recommend.

We visited Hawkstone Brewery as we are big fans of Clarksons Farm but didn’t fancy the 3+ hour queue for Diddly Squat. We visited on a Sunday, so was fairly busy, but only queued for around 5 minutes for each round of drinks. The pints were fairly priced and the range of drink options were better than expected. I would highly recommend getting the 3x drink taster paddle where you can mix and match. The food van on site is also worth a look. The burgers were well put together and very juicy. There is also a small shop on site that sells a few bits of Diddly Squat produce (as well as Hawkstone), which is a nice addition for those who couldn’t get to the actual farm shop. I am usually not a fan of celebrity brands, but Hawkstone is 100% the exception to the rule. An afternoon well spent, and I truly couldn’t recommend this enough. Also super dog friendly!

Fantastic tour!!! We had a great time and learned a lot about how they brew without being board. We had plenty of beer and cider to try and they are not tight on how much they give you.our guide was excellent( sorry I have forgotten his name I think it was Phil ) we would all recommend the brewery tour. It can be quite muddy in the car park if wet don’t wear nice shoes.

My wife and I got tickets for the brewery tour as a Christmas gift from our daughter so we decided to stay the night in Bourton otW so we wouldn't have to drive afterwards. Trevor, the brewery guide was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The experience began in the tasting room at the end of the Hawkstone Arms which is the brewery's on-site pub. We were given a 2/3 pint to get started while Trevor told us the history of the brewery and lager brewing in Britain and Europe. We were given a further two lagers to drink while he explained about the different brewing methods for each, then we went to the brewing room to see how the process is carried out. On returning to the tasting room, we were given an IPA while Trevor explained about U.S. craft beers, followed by a stout and finished off with Hawkstone's vodka. The experience lasted for 2 hours during which we drank about 4 pints of beer and the vodka and following this, we were given a 10% discount on drinks in the bar and from the shop. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and am glad that I chose not to drive there. I spent £50 on beer in the shop afterwards which they were happy to store for me until I could return the following morning with the car. I thoroughly recommend this trip.

Brilliant brewery tour!
For designated drivers or those that don't want alot to taste, you get smaller drinks plus 2 free drinks of your choice at the end to take home from the shop!
Otherwise you get VERY generous pints :)
The passion shows when we get the guided tour of Hawkstone brewery and the atmosphere is very good
Would recommend to anyone that wants to find out more about Hawkstone

Is it necessary to book in advance for the tour of the Brewery? We are planning a visit on 22nd December 2016 - what times are tours on this date does anyone know?
Thanks in advance
Gill
Written 29 November 2016
Hi Gill,
May be a bit late now but we did need to book in advance as the tour guide needs to ensure they have enough people before the tour can go ahead.
