A surreal piece of artwork
May 2021
Strange piece of artwork in the city centre, I approached it trying to decide what it was, and left wondering why?
Surprisingly different.

A very strange but enjoyable piece of street art in the centre of Cheltenham town, makes a good photo.

A strange piece of street art on the stylish Promenade. Apparently it was part of an art exhibition in the 1990s and retained by public demand.

Ugly

What a vile statue it looks out of place and does nothing at all for Cheltenham town ! It's a very disturbing statue when children are commenting on the private but very public view of the minotaur

A bit unusual, and having worked in Cheltenham for a while, I can say that nobody has ever brought this sculpture up in conversation.

The Hare looks very scared to me, and the Minotaur looks ........

There are plenty of other things to see and do in Cheltenham.

A must see tourist site in Cheltenham. Great photo opportunity. There was a small queue to pose with these two when we were there!

Totally Unnecessary

The statue has been recently reinstalled after being repainted. It’s an ugly, sad, and an unnecessary to the statue that does not enhance the High Street.

Came across this as we walked around Cheltenham. Couldn't help notice that the Minotaur has an interesting feature

Scary

Apparently the Minotaur is comforting the hare but to me it looked as though the hare thought it was about to be eaten alive!
