Cheltenham Town Hall was built in 1902-03 in order to provide a venue for the many balls and concerts which made up the town's social calendar at the turn of the twentieth century. Until the year 1900, that role had been filled by the old Assembly Rooms in the High Street, and it was their demolition to make way for a bank that prompted the Council to build a new, and much larger Hall on a new site. The Town Hall, situated on Imperial Gardens in the centre of Cheltenham comprises of a Grand Main Hall, distinguished by its Corinthian styles columns and coved ceiling.

A beautiful building, brimming with wonderful historic features and delights whilst being able to cope with lots of different events from concerts, talks, shows, fairs, exhibitions. A lovely place to visit whatever the occasion, well managed and staffed.

This is a lovely building. Unfortunately they were setting up for an event so we couldn't wander about but did see the beautiful display of knitted poppies which is well worth a look. We were told to go round the back to the gardens which...More

Lovely looking building, but the park behind it is the real Jewel in the crown, with pizza cafe and bar gives an international air of grandeur, to locals and visitors alike.

This is the third time I've visited this venue for the Uke Festival. It's an excellent venue for such an event. The hall area is a beautiful room and worth a look if nothing going on at the time! I don't know if it's possible...More

Too much padding 2nd half. Loved watching Aleish and Jannette from strictly but was too much commentary from Michael Ball and interviews about Fred. I also dont find town hall best venue for dance shows as all seats on same level.

Located adjacent to the Imperial Gardens, Cheltenham Town Hall has an interesting history with many famous people performing over the years. The exterior is undoubtedly impressive, but as you might expect with a building that is over a century old, some parts of the inside...More
