An average pub

Just called in for a pint. It had the feel of a cheap chain pub, with a basically boring menu and little choice of real beers.

Rang to ask if they were showing a particular match. Walked 30 minutes to the pub to find they were not. Did not put one of the many TVs on the match. Walked home.

Food served was hot and good portion (Jacket potato and salad) salad was fresh and service was good. Would not use it on a football day as many screens set up for viewing but if sports fan would be a good choice. Only negative is venue needs redecorating and toilets not the best .

Visiting from Cardiff. Popped in for lunch and a warm. Had all day breakfast she had Lasagne. Big helpings, coffee great. Decor could be a little brighter, all the browns and beiges make it a little gloomy. Thought this was a Wetherspoon place at first. Staff very helpful, and friendly.

We stopped there for a quick lunch, but I didn't expect much from a pub food. I was quite surprised, because everything we ordered was sooo tasty and quite cheap as well.

We called in here on an off chance before going to the theatre in Cheltenham. We were pleasantly surprised with the menu choice. Not a case of chips with everything. I had the beef lasagne and my partner had the leek and cheese tart. Both very delicious and served piping hot. The Spectre will definitely be on our list for... More

Visited this place with our son, would not serve us because we only wanted drinks and not food and we had our son with us. Even though we was sitting outside. Glad really because we then found a much nicer place down the road.
