We had the bonus of a beautiful spring day. Plenty of parking. The grounds quite large and well maintained. Children enjoyed running around. Easily spend 3 hours in arboretum. Some families had bought picnics which was ideal. Don't think it would have been so enjoyable if wet and muddy underfoot. Large cafe in main building along with shop. Outside a... More

The Arboretum still had a magnificent display of magnolias & fritillaries, and was bursting with spring growth. An Easter trail provided endless fun for children. Stunning views of surrounding country & Batsford House. Excellent café; everything fresh & very good value.

Another week or so and the Japanese Maples will be in full leaf. The Cafe is very good with a lovely terrace. A little slow in the queue and... More

When we visited the trees were covered in blossom and the Magnolia trees were magnificent, along with hundreds of thousands of daffodils in full bloom too. The views of the country side... More

Peaceful and easy to follow trail round beautifully kept grounds. Well labelled but not clinical, felt as though in country.
