We stayed in Broadway and only walked within that village but the visitor's center was very helpful with maps and so was The Olive Branch where we stayed. Stow on the Wold would probably have something similar to that. And the Cotswolds in general would have suggestions online. The Cotswold Tour and Travel would know who to ask. As for the pickups we prearranged the tour and the first taxi pickup from the train in Moreton-in-Marsh and then once we were there arranged a ride to Blenheim Palace where we took the bus to Oxford afterwards. Their service is beyond just a drop off. Besides telling us the history of the area there's being taken to the right entrance and expediting ticket buying, taking our photo, showing us exactly where the bus stop was. That particular ride was 90 pounds. Each pickup and dropoff from the train station to Broadway (about a 20minute drive) was 30 pounds. We had a 6 hour extensive tour for about 360 pounds. We had rides with 4 different drivers including the father and son owners of the company and they were all wonderful. The father, Robin made a detour to his farm to show us how he's restoring a traditional 16thC stone fence. Sharing his connection to the land and its traditions was a gift.
