In June 2019, my party of seven, all family, engaged Cotswold Tours & Travel for a van and driver for eight hours to show us around the northern Cotswolds area. Simon was our driver, and he was fantastic! We had a particular interest in searching out some family gravesites and home places of our ancestors, and he wove that perfectly into a large looping drive with stops here and there for lunch and shopping, very flexible throughout the day. The weather was awful for June, but Simon nevertheless made the best of it for us and kept up a running commentary on everything we were passing by for the whole day. We were in a fine Mercedes van that fit us all very comfortably. It was by far my favorite day of a 10 day trip that included London and Amsterdam as well! It felt like we were working with a "friend of the family" rather than a business, everything was so personal - even planning it all via email in the weeks prior to our arrival in the U.K.! I can't wait to come back and whenever that time comes, I will not even think about any other company unless Cotswolds Tours & Travels are unavailable.

This was my second time working with CT&T to plan a multi-day Cotswold experience--first for my parents, and then for myself & my husband. The team were extremely responsive and creative in developing our itinerary. They took all of our interests into consideration and selected wonderful tour guides and educators to complete our experience. Our Clay Pigeon Shooting experience with Rob Ireland was particularly memorable from start to finish. Driving around the region with expert tour guides who provide unique stories and know the land inside and out left us feeling as if we had properly experienced the region. The guides are a joy to be with and ultra knowledgeable. We will miss the Cotswolds and the Dale family!

We used this company for two days and had Robin Scotter (there are two people named Robin in this company) as our driver/guide. He was prompt, knowledgeable, a safe driver and good company. Car was immaculate.
We booked the "Our Famous Cotswold Tour" for the short drive between Painswick and Broadway and the "Oxford and Blenheim Palace" tour on our transfer from Broadway to London. We were considering skipping the Blenheim Palace portion but Robin encouraged us to see it. Thanks Robin - it would have been a mistake to miss this spectacular site!
We used 3 other tour companies for other parts of our 23 day trip through Wales and Cornwall (in addition to Cotswolds and London). This company was much more expensive per day than the others but this may be attributable to being closer to London where all prices are high. In addition, they charge 3% if you want to use a credit card instead of cash while the others did not. These financial terms are clearly spelled out so there were no surprises and we're not complaining (just for information).
All-in-all this company and these services are recommended.

Cotswold T&T came highly recommended to us and did not disappoint! They were flexible and accommodating at the planning stage (we had not been to the area before and were staying but a short while). We set up to see Blenheim Palace, a few spots we requested, and a ‘what would you like to show us’ component. We enjoyed a really remarkable and truly full day with Robin Scotter. With an extraordinary grasp of the area and the area’s history, amiably delivered, Robin brought us to places decided upon on the fly as per lively conversation (ok, a good dose of us mercilessly peppering him with questions that he enthusiastically took in stride and encouraged), even to the point of adding an unexpected, day-capping stop at an antique/race/sports car place generated by conversation earlier in the day. Not inexpensive, but can’t recommend highly enough - a really unique experience and our day with Robin was a full-on treat from start to finish.

My wife and I just returned from a 6 night stay in the Cotswolds, expertly arranged by Eddie and Katy. We were greeted at Heathrow by Robin who charmed us with tales of Cotswold living as he chauffeured us to our idyllic hotel nestled in the village of Broadway. We spent the next 5 days days traversing every direction in one of their luxury coaches. Our guides we David R. and Mark E. These gentlemen not only shared their love, passion and expertise with us as we toured and explored the region, they also became our newest lifelong friends. We have so many stories and we discovered innumerable gems and hidden locations on our daily adventures with our guides. Our trip was more than just a planned vacation. Each day was created especially for us and our personal interests. As our guides got to know us individually they took extra measures and customized several unplanned stops, which added an element of magic to our week. We highly recommend Cotswold Tours and Travel when you are planning your western England getaway.

We drove from Cotswolds to Cornwall with Steve. We made memorable stop at Bath, Wells, and a few other hidden gems that Steve recommend. He was incredibly professional and immensely knowledgeable and every place he took us felt as if though he was seeing it for the first time. That’s how much he loved what he did, which made us to fall in love with with it all. We highly recommend Steve. Our drive was very enjoyable. He is such a caring and thoughtful human being that when one of us left behind a glove in his car, he mailed it to our Hotel in London. Just an amazing man. Highly recommend him!

My husband and I had one free day in the area to explore the Cotswold. We could not find a tour that hit all of our specific highlights until we found Cotswold Tour & Travel. They took our list of towns, pubs and sights we wanted to see and created a great itinerary for us. When James pulled up in front of our hotel in Bath, we are so excited to know our day was going to be great. He took our requests and added a few special places we would have never known about - the benefit of a private tour with a knowledge expert in the area! We visited Castle Combe, Tetbury, Bibury, Upper/Lower Slaughters and Stow-on-the-Wold. We discovered some tasty ciders and had lunch in a restaurant James took us to that away from the tourists and had yummy Fish & Chips. The area is so beautiful with so much history! We highly recommend booking a trip if you want a special day visiting the Cotswold. Thank to James/Daniell :-) for an amazing day and Eddie for scheduling and connecting us.

We had the pleasure of touring with Robin Dale in 2022 and it was such a great day that when we planned a longer trip in the UK, Cotswolds Tour & Travel were the first people we contacted. Eddie (Dale) spent countless hours arranging for several days in the Cotswolds and several days in Cornwall, including a long drive getting us to Kent. Our drivers were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and so much fun! Steve took us through his own town of Stratford-Upon-Avon and through the northern Cotswolds, happily stopping when we yelled "Stop!" to get that perfect picture and taking us off the beaten path to delightful places (Donnington Brewery is a must!). We were thrilled to have Robin again for our second day; he has a million stories and takes us on great adventures (we even saw some of the filming sites for Poldark and Harry Potter!) Eddie arranged for a great guide, Nigel, to shepherd us for several days through Cornwall, which was an amazing experience! CT&T is a personal, caring, flexible, creative resource for seeing this beautiful country, and saves us the stress of trying to drive on the wrong side of the road, with comfortable vans and expert, safe drivers. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

An excellent guide Steve took me and my mum to a tour around the north part of Cotswolds. He arranged the tour depending on our interests, therefore we managed to look at many gardens including some lovely private gardens, as my mum was interested in them. We both fell in love with such a beautiful scenery of Cotswolds, highly recommend to everyone, especially those who are looking to spend a relaxing time in Cotswolds!

Our time in the Cotswold with guides from Cotswold tours and travel were the highlight of our three week trip to Europe. Our three driver guides - Jonnie, Steve and David were fabulous. Being from the area, they knew all the nooks and crannies and took us to the must see sites, but especially the most charming off the beaten path places. The area is charming, the scenery spectacular and the people so welcoming. They were so accommodating to the time we wanted to stay places and what we wanted to see. We booked the Cottage Tea Experience where we made and then ate scones, lemon curd, Banbury cake and raspberry jam. We also went to the Brinkworth Dairy where we learned to make several cheeses. What unusual and fun experiences. I'd happily recommend these to all visitors. Even planning the trip with Eddie was an easy and pleasant experience. I would highly recommend Cotswold Tours and Travel to anyone visiting the area. Is a unique and wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back!

I will be staying in Stow on the Wolds from June 26-29th. I'd like to walk to Bourton on the Water and to the Upper and Lower Slaughters, perhaps in more than one day. I'm also open to other ideas of walks. I'd like to get ideas from you on what is available, how pick up and drop off works, and the cost and what that covers (how many hours, etc.) Thank you!

We stayed in Broadway and only walked within that village but the visitor's center was very helpful with maps and so was The Olive Branch where we stayed. Stow on the Wold would probably have something similar to that. And the Cotswolds in general would have suggestions online. The Cotswold Tour and Travel would know who to ask.
As for the pickups we prearranged the tour and the first taxi pickup from the train in Moreton-in-Marsh and then once we were there arranged a ride to Blenheim Palace where we took the bus to Oxford afterwards. Their service is beyond just a drop off. Besides telling us the history of the area there's being taken to the right entrance and expediting ticket buying, taking our photo, showing us exactly where the bus stop was. That particular ride was 90 pounds. Each pickup and dropoff from the train station to Broadway (about a 20minute drive) was 30 pounds. We had a 6 hour extensive tour for about 360 pounds. We had rides with 4 different drivers including the father and son owners of the company and they were all wonderful. The father, Robin made a detour to his farm to show us how he's restoring a traditional 16thC stone fence. Sharing his connection to the land and its traditions was a gift.

There's many things we can add from London such as Oxford, Blenheim Palace or Bampton the Downton Abbey village filmset. All this can be done before coming into the Cotswolds.
