Plenty of tracks going around the area showing off various trees from around the world and big green areas for the smaller once to run around on. The paths are cleary marked with seats on regular intervalls and reasonbly priced to attend with toilets at entrance and at the cafe in the middle. If you're not into trees and nature... More

Last Sunday we visited with friends, one of whom has a three-wheeled mobility scooter. We checked the website - lots of info about accessibility, but just a brief mention that the terrain in the arboretum means they don't recommend three-wheelers. Although they suggest booking one in advance, luckily they had a four-wheeled scooter available (no charge). The handover on arrival... More

We had been told this was a good place to visit as we could visit before going on a garden visit to Highgrove. The treetop walkway is a must to do especially for children as they love to be high up in the trees but should be supervised. Wonderful walks with lots of different trees and paths. You could spend... More

There's a large free car park on site, right next to the entrance. While the price seems steep (currently £10 per adult), the site is massive and the array of trees (and shrubs) is simply incredible. Seems very popular with dog walkers and good to bring young children as acres of paths to run around on. Site is broadly split... More

It helped that the weather was superb, although being an arboretum there was enough shady places for us to keep out of the sun when we wanted and plenty of benches to sit and rest and admire the view. The Silk wood is dog friendly and is big enough to walk around so I doubt we'd have had the energy... More

Spent a morning walking round the gardens. Beautiful gardens and well organised and set out. The BBQ lunch is excellent . Well worth the money and a good relaxing colourful day out.

Now is a good time to visit. The Azaleas and Rhododendrons are spectacular. Go round the old arboretum to see them at their best. Great shop on site and a great cafe too. Lovely to sit outside with a cup of coffee and a cake! The old arboretum is also great especially the new walkway
