This museum was really interesting and showed many aspects of the lives of the Royal Marines. There was also a very good display of a 1940s kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised at how well presented and interesting the museum was and the quality of the displays.

An absorbing couple of hours and at times certain exhibits really made you think. These men really do deserve the credit they get for the work they do. Heartbreaking to see those who recently lost their lives in Afghanastan.

Did this museum on the dockyard ticket. Its well laid out with easy read information and displays. Think that this is always nice for adults with children allows everyone to get most from the museums information without getting 'bored'. There are no cafe facilities in the winter so make sure you are suitably refreshed beforehand.

This is an interesting museum for anyone interested in the history of the Marines. Effort has been made to think about what will interest the kids as well as the needs of people with disabilities. There is a shop and loos and a sizeable car park (extra charges apply - about £2 for 3 hours). If you fancy a brisk... More

We had the best time walking round the museum looking at all the artefacts from the beginning of the Royal Marines up to the present day. Including the Royal Marines Band room and all the Victoria Cross medals given to the Corps over the years. The staff are all very friendly and helpful

I visited the Royal Marines museum whilst my wife was enjoying her blacksmith experience. I was not sure what to expect. Wow. It was brilliant. I spent over two hours fascinated by the history of the Royal marines and gob-smacked by the presentation on commando training. Crikey but I want these guys on my side! Outside there are a number...
