Was shocked when I went to see Fifty Shades Darker with my girlfriend to discover that there were 16 year olds in there bragging that they had snuck in without being asked for ID by staff! Unbelievable! Only positive was when we got a Pick & Mix, the member of staff there was lovely.

There were 7 people including us for the performance. Is this because it is so expensive? As well as the high entry cost, the snacks on sale are at premium prices. Many years ago, a visit to the cinema was a special treat. With the advent of Netflix etc, one would think that cinemas should try and compete. The income... More

Vue is a good cinema, the seats can get a little uncomfortable after a while - they show a good range of films at a range of different times to suit all.

Quite hard to review a cinema really but here is some advice. If you like it quiet go to an early morning showing on a weekday. I recently went to see La La Land at 09:40 on a Friday morning and there was only one other person in there at the same time, perfect! Tip two, take your own food... More

I have visited this cinema 8 times this year and on every occasion the toilets in the foyer have been out of action. Come on vue / gunwarf its about time this was sorted. Otherwise an average cinema experience.

After paying £3.49 for a £1 packet of sweets, we watched Fantastic Beasts, which was fantastic. Cinema was filthy. The foyer was covered in popcorn and spilt drink. After the film we went to the toilets adjacent to screen 7. On going through the swing doors the stench of urine confirmed we were heading in the right direction, but it... More

I go there about twice a month and yes the food is expensive, the seat arms are wearing out but that's ok. Just fix the toilets!!!! I reckon the main ones in the foyer have been out of order on and off for about 50% of this year!

The Vue cinema in Gunwharf Quays is quite an experience. There is a large selection of screens showing many different current films throughout the day and night. Throughout the cinema experience no person deals with you at all. You buy a ticket from a vending machine, then walk to the appropriate hall, find a seat, which is very comfortable and... More

Anyway,I visit cinemas fairly often,if good movies are on..just done tonight with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which was by the way absolutely amazing!..So here in Portsmouth its the only one and therefore we dont really have a choice..and they are clearly taking advantage of it! Ticket prices are a little steep..but dear Lord,,the snacks almost £4 for a pack... More

Came here early one Sunday morning and although the sound quality and 3d were great, the seats were way too uncomfortable -almost horizontal. Huge queues at the food counter too as service really slow. Toilets also out of action so we had to walk miles! !
