This is a high point of a visit to Old Portsmouth. Located next to the Mary Rose museum, you can explore the decks and see how sailors of theat time loved and died aboard a warship that was there!

At first I was disappointed by the lack of information on board the ship, there being no display boards as in other venues. However, I see now that that would have intruded upon the authentic atmosphere of the visit. We could have had the headphones,...More

Need to be careful on this one as beams and doorways are all so low. Plenty of staff around to assist and answer your questions. Audio guide available - we didn't this time but probably would when we visit again. Steeped in history and an...More

The car park is just a few minutes walk from the historic dock and we were unaware how much was there so had only allowed time to visit the HMS Victory & the Victory museum. Our ticket is valid for a full year, so we...More

Our second visit to victory. This time we had the audio tours which bring the ship to life. The ship has trip hazards and low ceilings and steep stairs. A special piece of history.

Loved the tour of the ship by the very knowledgeable tour guide. Great to be on a real ship and to see what life must have been like. Make sure you visit this ship before you see the Mary Rose. It sort of gives you...More

walkable from Portsmouth Harbour Station. By the time you walk to taxi rank you are at the entrance to the dockyard and taxi can't go into dockyard.

She doesn't look quite the same without them, but the weight was causing the ship to start to collapse on itself, at least that's what I read. I'm not sure when they will go back, the guide told me that they are 6 years... More
