Our photography group spent a few hours taking photos of a number of historical buildings, and whilst it was cold the sun was shining which was prefect for taking photographs.

It has changed here but made more beautiful in my opinioin making great use of what was just arches, wonderful cafe and some artty shops all supporting local artists, the fish market is fabulous and the harbour is always a great place to walk through

Most of the old houses have been rehabilitated successfully. New buildings fit well in the atmosphere. The Millenium promenade offers a good point of view on both Wight Island and the sea on one hand and Old Portsmouth on the other. Perfect place to have...More

Lovely area, much nicer to walk around, than all the modern out of place buildings, that are pushed into areas. Well worth a visit

Sure it's noisy at night but it's sporadic and overall it's a quiet and nice area. I'd live here if I could.
