I was staying in a hotel opposite this beach and walked along the promenade a few times. Even though it was 35C the beach wasn't crowded, but occupied by many family groups enjoying the seaside atmosphere

As a family we like a nice quite beach. This one is lovely. Stoney, but quiet. Our hotel was just around the corner and we bathed here both mornings before breakfast.

A pleasant beach. Nice for a swim if the water is not too cold. Make sure you take and wear beach shoes because it is stoney..

Clean and present place to sit and sunbathe. We enjoy ship watching all the vessels coming in and out of the harbour. Good views of Isle of Wight.

Plenty of parking along the promenade. If you prefer a car park, there is s large one , with blue badge spaces, about 500 metres east of the pier.
