Exciting Escapes are thrilled to bring the global phenomenon that is Escape Rooms to Southampton. Working together in a small group of 2-6 people, your challenge is to solve puzzles and mysteries together while the clock ticks down. Each room has a story that you play a part in, and each presents its own unique challenges for a truly entertaining experience. Will you accept the challenge?

As a party of 7 we had a great time trying to find the murder weapon, we just didn't quite make it even though Agent Sportie Spies helped us at the end. We loved her enthusiasm and will certainly be booking again in the future. Thank you.

Played as a team of 2, for Breaking the Law with our amazing games master Sporty Spyz.
Firstly the game itself was fun, very challenging and very well decorated. Must say it was one of the harder escape rooms we have done having played a fair few previously. The puzzles themselves were very fun and imaginative.
As we said to our GM, with out spoiling anything, target practice was our least favourite part. But that didnt take from the overall great experience we had playing!
Sporty Spyz, was engaging, great explaining the game and very fun to chat with and gave great clues whenever we was stuck! She KNEW when and when not to give clues which made the game even more fun, so great work to them and hoping we have Sporty Spyz in our next game.
Overall, comparing other local escape rooms such as Houdini's, I feel Exciting Escapes does it better it everyway!

Came to play following recommendations from other escape room people. Great game and fun hosts!
Played this weekend and all had a great time!
Our host - Ryan was friendly and helpful in making sure we enjoyed and managed to escape within the time frame!
Would be nice to find easier, free parking but it’s a very minor thing that didn’t effect our game!

We took our 11 year old grandson for a half term treat.
From the door opening to our leaving, we had a great time. On a practical level everything was well explained before hand. Once locked in our room we had a wonderful time working out the many clues …. And our grandson was able to work out some of the clues, to his great excitement and they were all varied with some authentic props.
Did we escape, yes, thankfully we did, but were very grateful to the accommodating Ryan who made sure we completed our task, to our grandson’s delight.
We hadn’t been before to an escape but we will certainly go again and really recommend if you are looking for something to do with a group of friends or as a really great experience for any teenagers in your life to encourage them away from their screens. Thanks Ryan, good luck with the degree and thanks for making sure we had such a good time.

We did the Breaking The Law escape room and it was brilliant! Lots of great interlinking puzzles, enough for us to be working on two at a time at some points. Had some great quirky puzzles we've not seen anywhere else. Overall the room was hard enough to get a sense of achievement but not so difficult that it was impossible. We'll definitely be back to try out some of their other rooms!

Really fun time and great staff thanks agent jess. Did the hidden past adventure which was really good only problem I'd say is the floor board puzzle trying not to spoil to much.

Hi, is this activity suitable if one of the party is in a wheelchair?
Unfortunately, at the moment our rooms are not accessible by wheelchair, however a person in a wheelchair is more than welcome to join our Games Master's in the control room and assist in giving clues to their team mates and watching the mission :)

can I bring children aged 14 and 12?
Yes that is not a problem, under 14s are welcome to come but must be supervised by an adult. It can also be quite helpful to have at least two adults as younger children may find some of our puzzles challenging :)

Good question. When you book, it is just the people that you booked with in the room with you. So to be clear, we don't sell the other spaces in the room.

I've heard you don't let disabled or autistic people in the venue. Is this True?

Hi there! I'm Dave, one of the owners, and I'm happy to say that's absolutely not the case. We've found the games can work really well with people with autism, and if you call us first to chat through the specifics of the particular persons needs we can normally adapt the game to accommodate. For example, turning the background music down, making sure the briefing is done in a way that is supportive to their needs etc. As another example, we've also ran games recently for partially sighted customers and learnt some great lessons about how to make the games work well in these circumstances. We do have a very old building with fairly narrow stairs, so the current rooms aren't wheelchair accessible. That said, we're building a 5th room by the summer which we hope will be.
