Lovely park in the middle of the city stunning views over Southampton water. Looks great after dark the lights of the docks and the oil refinery in the distance. Great place to view some luxury cruse ships from time to time

It is not well known by many locals and not know by many Americans that come here that the Mayflower actually sailed from Southampton. The park is a memorial to this event. A boat sprang a leak and called into Plymouth for repairs. This is why some many places in New England have Hampshire names!

We often visit to see the cruise ships at the city terminal. As a child I remember a fantatic play area we used to visit regularly but due to new Health and Safety laws there now is only a small playground which is not as fun as the one in the 70s!

Great big ships get moored, not very far away, getting filled with people, going on holiday, they get packed with people and luggage, hats sunglasses and shoes, the lucky holidayers.. going on a cruise, the park is good for children, playing whilst the parents laze, and it's really rather nice, I'm sure you'll be full of praise

Near the centre of Southampton and cheap parking (£1 for 2 hours). Not a lot here, grass and views across docks, good kiosk and toilets, which are not going to win Loo of the Year! However good for blowing the cobwebs away and interesting if any liners are in.

Brilliant place to stretch your legs in a bit of greenery or take a seat and watch the world go by. This is virtually opposite Marchwood Military Port where the Royal Fleet Auxillary sails from to worldwide destinations taking goods and equipment to our Armed Forces. Berth 106 (I think) is up this end where you may see a big... More

So peaceful and beautiful for a sunset in the summer. Watched several cruise ships set sale and there's normally a fireworks display before they do so. Nice little place to escape for a couple hours in the evening

Went here for the boat show and it was excellent. Lots of places to go and has hotels just opposite for convenience to travel into the city.
