Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for a few days as it was my husband's 50th birthday. I have to say that given the prices, not only was it great value for money, but the whole experience was certainly 5-star. Rooms were superb with furnishings of the highest quality. Beds were absolutely amazing. Restaurants were great with lovely ambience particularly in the Jetty Bar. Food was fabulous and lived up to expectations, including breakfast. Location can't be beaten either. Staff were incredilble too and could not do enough for us. Hotels in Southampton will need to up their game as this hotel will give them all a run for thier money! Will definitely be back as soon as we can as it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and we have travelled extensively.

I am a regular visitor to Banana Wharf but had never experienced their roast dinner until today. I have to confess my family and I are quiet fussy when it comes to the Sunday roast dinner and our expectations are high. Craig greeted us with such warmth when we arrived and the round table we sat at was perfect for us to all catch up. Marta our server has such a great sense of humour and her customer service was amazing. Drum roll, the roast makes an appearance and it was INCREDIBLE, the beef cut like butter, the cauliflower cheese had a lovely crust and the swede mash added some lovely sweetness. As roast dinners go, this was one of the best in Southampton. We will certainly be back again and again..Oh did I mention the banoffee waffle...Its too late to take a photo as its already been eaten. A great end to a great week.

I wanted to review this beauty salon but the place will not come up on the list and the system wouldn't let me add it (never happened before). Anyway, stylish beauty salon right overlooking the water at Ocean Village. A wide range of beauty treatment. I had a massage. Very welcoming and a cup of tea, good massage and friendly and helpful masseuse who was on time and gave the full amount of time for the massage. Especially comfortable couch with a heating pad. Parking in Ocean Village is often a bit of a problem - be especially careful to only park in the white lined spaces and check the payment charges carefully.

I have had three treatments with Ocean Rooms and I have been extremely impressed by their service. The salon is a warm and welcoming establishment offering a wide selection of treatments. I have had Eyelash extensions with Brooke, who is friendly and very professional. I would recommend this salon for any treatments.

The general place is fab, with a great view of the harbour. The drinks are really reasonable prices and the food was great, but oddly priced. The staff are really friendly but the toilets weren't nice at all. I mentioned it to a member of staff but nothing was done. They looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a week. Not nice when it's a restaurant. But that's only complaint. Everything else was lovely.

Sailed to and stayed in this marina which claims to be "5 *". This made me laugh. The facilities for marina guests are ridiculously poor and not even located within the marina. Plus at nigh on £60 for a berth overnight, this is an insult. Yes, there is a hotel nearby and a few restaurants, but this place has nothing to boast about and the best restaurant by far was closed.... Far, far better marinas in the Solent. Give this place a "wide berth"....

Lovely marina with some lovely places to eat and drink over looking the Marina. From the promontory can see the cruise ships arriving and departing. Shame Wetherspoons is leaving great place for a cheap meal!

A new development along the harbor, taking advantage of underutilized port and industrial land. The new use is appealing, mostly housing, but you will also find places to eat here. It was a gloomy day; it probably looks better in the sun.
