We often walk along the river, and sometimes feed the ducks with some wild bird seed- they get enough bread! There are often young waterbirds to look out for in the Spring, but we enjoy keeping an eye on the changing seasons in the trees....More

So another fine attraction closes in Southampton!! Others included the lido and the ice rink. But hey never mind, West Quay have built more restaurants and cinemas!! We needed them like a hole in the head.

Picnics/ducks/cycle section along path. Not a lot happening here if you are looking for excitement. Two kids parks. Nice for a stroll and get an ice cream.

Great place for an afternoon stroll there is even a little train ride that was great fun for the kids to ride round on. Great play park for them to run off steam.

This area used to be waste land along the River Itchen. Not it is a lovely walk along the path near the river. High tide is best time to go.

Used to live quite close to this park, and it has many charms of its own. Idyllic setting alongside the river, with many swans and ducks and gulls for the avid bird lover, and a pontoon which stretches into the river for a more up-close...More

Yes, of course. There's just one fenced area by the school where they aren't allowed and it's probably just common decency not to let them foul on the pitch & put, cricket and football pitches
