An interesting museum with a very good Titanic exhibition, featuring the stories of those working on the doomed cruiser, many of whom lived and worked in Southampton. Also some nice displays on those arriving at Southampton from foreign shores, or setting sail from there, including those going to war at sea.

I guess we were expecting so much more such as more artifacts and such .....we were disappointed, The building however it is in is very beautiful with lovely ceilings and interesting old style chain pull toilets...the main room in the museum set up for the inquiry after the sinking with the videos was interesting. My advise would be to inquire... More

There isn't much about Southampton. Yet this museum tells alot! Very informative. We can learn alot about Titanic. It is amazing how the hearing about Titanic was recreated.

Had visited this a few years ago on Uni visit to catch up with daughter not long after it's opening and in light of the recent documentary thought we would re-visit and see if some aspects had been updated. There are some good interactive parts for the younger visitors and the whole journey around the museum brings the tragedy into... More

The museum, although not completely Titanic related, is a must for any Titanic enthusiast - there is a lot of information about the people, the voyage, the ship itself. It is a very interactive experience and my absolute favourite part was the narration by survivors of what happened during that night. We also visited the Cruise Liner exhibition which gave... More

Spent a really enjoyable morning here, there is plenty to look at and the exhibits are arranged really well with interesting facts and a real mix of objects, pictures, ship models etc. Plus some interactive computer displays. The Titanic exhibit was presented really well with information about the lives of the people that were on the ship as well as... More

Nice display giving good information, and the kids (or parents) can even steer the Titanic through Southampton water!

Very interesting in particular the Titanic exhibition. Plenty to keep children entertained ours are 9, 7 and 4. The cafe was nice although not a lot of choice. The only criticism I have is it was very warm and there was nowhere to leave our coats.

If you are interested in the Titanic, this museum will suit you. If you are interested in the maritime history of Southampton, don't bother.
