Basic, spacious camping, with friendly owners and close to bus stop. Not always someone at reception, which is bothersome sometimes. When arriving late, you'll not be able to enter the shower block since there is a code.

Situated just outside of Southampton, my wife & I have stayed at Sunnydale twice, once for a trip to the theatre in the city centre (a bus stop is within 10 mins walk from the site entrance, although down a busy road without a pavement), and once as a one-night stay for an early morning ferry trip from Portsmouth to... A nice clean site. Good to have kettle and microwave in laundry room. Hot showers, although very annoying when water only on for 16 seconds before it goes off.h . Have to keep pressing the button. Good value for money for the facilities.

Great site with plenty of space for each unit. Showers always hot. Supply a kettle, iron, ironing board and microwave in the laundry room which is great for tents. Great location for Southampton and Portsmouth. Only down side was the owner, Stella. Not a friendly person. Didnt make us feel welcome at all.

Lovely clean campsite! Couple of chickens running around ! Showers clean, nice touch having a microwave and iron for anyone to use. Large Tesco up the road, town not far away. Close enough to New Forest

The last couple of times we have visited (mar 15 and July 15) the site was lovely, toilets nice and clean, but this time, the showers were disgusting. There were a lot of campers staying but with one of the showers out of order, it left 3 for the whole site. The mop was broken and the water it stood... More

We had booked the Ashurst Camping in the Forest site, but had to be refunded as they only open their barrier at 0730, but we needed to leave at 0700 for a ferry. Sunnydale has automatic barriers, which meant we could leave whenever we wished. Pitch cost £22, which unfortunately for us, included electric, which we didn't require. Toilets and... More

Because of a sudden health emergency in the family I had to cancel a previously booked stay at this camp site at very short notice. I spoke to the owner, Stella, who very kindly returned the monies (apart from a small administration fee) - thank you. However, although we didn't stay at this site, we had previously looked around and... More

We don't actually live that far, however wanted to go camping when there we could have been anywhere, it felt in the middle of no where. On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. Was pleased to see a great selection of bits and bobs for sale at a very reasonable price. Nice BIG field to pitch the tent... More

Stayed at this campsite about 6 months ago the pitches are big and it has decent and clean facilities. But the staff are disgustingly rude! There very abrupt and answer you're questions in a sarcastic and aggressive manor. Its like there trying to base there behavior on travelers and for this reason I would not stay here again.
