We highly recommend See Southampton. In order to better understand our interests and arrange the perfect itinerary for us, Katie was gracious enough to meet with me over Zoom prior to our visit. She handled our shifting demands with professionalism and empathy. We look forward to booking with them on our next visit to Southampton.

We did a private tour with Katie as a family of four. It was a great experience and a pleasure to be guided by Katie who is a very lovely person. Our kids understand her speaking English as we live in Germany. I can highly recommend See Southampton and Katie as a guide. She showed us places where others have no access to...:-)

1 hr special tour in company of Lord Mayor of Southampton, visiting the medieval vaults, which were fascinating. Then wine tasting and food pairing, very enjoyable.

Organised , as many of these types of tour are, by our Katie. She takes a lot of trouble over such tours, especially this one for the Mayor's Charit,y and will be delighted you enjoyed it.

We took the 90-minute Hidden Secrets walking tour on 6 Aug2023 with Inge. We had a small group of 15 which included two local couples as well as other tourists. Inge was knowledgeable and provided us with incredible information about the historic city. Because of questions from one of the local guests, we were offered to extend our tour to several other vaults. This extended the tour for the better part of an hour and added (for everyone, including our guide) an unexpected paranormal experienced - fabulous!
We considered this is a must-do activity and are so happy we did the tour!

Hi Leah. The Guide who took you round, Inge, is part of another Tour Guide organisation, the Southampton Tourist Guides Association. We wouldn't want to steal their review - they are also on Tripadvisor!

Katie has a treasure chest of information about the history of Southampton! The Walking Tour of Medieval Southampton was so interesting with so many surprises! I was amazed to hear so much about the walled city and the famous people who lived in Southampton many centuries ago. Often we walk around with blinkers on not realizing the history of the walls/buildings which have stood for centuries. Thanks Katie for an incredible walk back in time.

Thank you for your review and Katie will be delighted that you enjoyed her tour. Your amazement is shared by many - including many of our Guides, who studied for the Green Badge award after taking a tour themselves. We are delighted to open peoples' eyes to the City's tremendous history. I'm sorry for the delay in replying - a technical matter with our Tripadvisor listing.

I absolutely loved this tour! I've been living in Southampton for a few months and passed by many sites on this tour not knowing their significance. The knowledge I learned on this tour added to the beauty of the city I now live in, and sheds light onto the importance of history. Our guide Katie was very cheerful and informative, she was attentive to all our needs and was very interactive with the group.
The tour ended with a lovely afternoon tea, and who doesn't love a good cup of tea and cake! loved every moment of this outing! I intend to register on the other offered tours!

Medieval Southampton was my chosen tour. The guide, Katie, did a good job of joining up the remaining pieces of physical history with the political and commercial history of the period. A highlight for me was being inside The Undercroft, one of the few remaining merchants ‘cellars’. I look forward to seeing more of these when renovation and safety work is completed, and I will take my own torch.
The other attraction on the day I chose was the cream tea at Robins Nest, which was excellent, and gave an opportunity to chat with other people on the Tour.
One star is left off for the downside (IMHO) of Southampton as a major tourist attraction…I don’t get the impression the city leaders care that much about history, but care more about commerce. Areas where we walked were litter strewn and dirty, signs were defaced, or absent where they would be useful on a self guided walk. Impressions count if the City wants people to return.

The tour was well organized and the excellent guide Katie showed us very interesting aspects of the old town. The experience was very pleasant and interesting. After the tour we all had a delicious cream tea at the Robin’s nest emporium. Lovely afternoon with history, culture and new people.

Hi! We are a family of 4 adults & would love to do a walking tour of Southampton between 18th-20th Aug'19. Any suggestions?

Hi Sorry we missed answering this earlier. On Sunday the 18th August we have walks starting from the Bargate, an old Gate in the centre of the High STreet, at 10.30 and 1.30. No need to book, just turn up and pay £6 to the guide. If that doesn't suit, we can arrange a private tour for £60 at a time to suit you. Please see the seesouthampton website to make arequest (this site does not allow me to post a link)

Will be in SOU for 4 days prior to a cruise. Would like info on day tours. Already went to Stonehenge, Bath, New Forest etc. I'm looking for something, perhaps private tour to show me the "real" countryside. I could even take tours on 2 different days. Will be in SOU 24 Oct. 2017 departing on 28 Oct. 2017. Have not seen too much on your website, please advise.

See Southampton do walking tours of Southampton but we do have contacts who can take your party on a private tour by car to the many beautiful towns and villages in the Countryside around Southampton and into deepest Hampshire including rural villages complete with thatched cottages and fascinating towns which are the real England and where the coach tours do not go. The chance to see areas of outstanding natural beauty and visit antique shops and tea rooms. This would be an exclusive tour for your party for up to four people. Please let me know if you are interested. Kind regards, Godfrey Collyer
Do you have any tours that incorporate Stonehenge and other sites in addition to S.Hampton?

I'd actually message or email the business. I think this facility just asks other people who have done reviews.
