About
A very warm welcome to Hampshire Wine School - an independent wine education company, not affiliated to any wine merchants or retailers. We run fun Wine, Champagne, Beer, Port, Gin & Tonic and Whisky Tastings and Wine & Food Pairing Courses in HAMPSHIRE (with venues in Southampton and Winchester) and NOW in DORSET (in Poole) for people who enjoy wine and would like to learn more about it. We also run professional staff training, corporate evenings, team building days and fun private events, as well as hen parties and stag dos. Cecile is incredibly knowledgable and yet made the tasting and pairing very simple and enjoyable. As always a really fun evening with friends. We would highly recommend!

8 Week Wine Course

I would really recommend the 8 week wine course. Cecile’s enthusiasm is infectious, and her knowledge is amazing. Without even thinking I’m checking bottles for things Cecile has said and enjoying buying bottles I might not have before.
Her wine and food pairing advice is so useful and really does make such a difference!
What I also love is that as long as you give appropriate notice, if you can’t make a week on the course, you can have a credit for another time.

French and Italian wine tasting

I've gone to a couple of wine tasting sessions with Cecile recently and can't recommend them enough. A great blend (pun intended) of education and entertainment; I learnt a lot about the wines, wine producing regions and tasting techniques, despite my lazy saliva glands and questionable taste buds. There's always an interesting selection of wines to try and it's really helped me in selecting new wines to buy.

My husband and I are hooked! Fantastic evening which was educational, interesting and fun.
This was our first wine tasting event and cannot wait to sign up for the next.

Kevin was excellent at the Champagne tasting, I do hope that Cecile gets well soon. 6 wonderful and varied Champagnes were tasted and the saborage was a real treat!

A fantastic wine tasting experience not to be missed

I have recently completed the eight week World of Wine course and cannot recommend this course enough. I have learned so much and am already reaping the benefits by understanding and appreciating what wines I am buying and sharing. Many of the wines Cecile recommends are easily found in supermarkets and local wine merchants, and frequently she provides really unique wines from her own cellar that would be unavailable without her input.
Cecile is a fabulous teacher, an engaging expert, a joy to listen to and learn with and no question, big nor small phases her. I am already booking myself onto more of her courses and again, I cannot recommend these courses highly enough, they are wonderful! Cheers Cecile!!! x

Champagne Tasting-Amazing!

What a fantastic evening! Cecile was the most wonderful host. She was so friendly, bubbly and knowledgeable. The champagne was delicious, the sabrage was brilliant and we learnt a lot. What a fun evening! Comes highly recommended! We will certainly be doing more tastings with The Hampshire Wine School. A great gift for friends and family!

Absolutely fantastic evening! Cecile is an amazing hostess, full of knowledge, wit and humour. Such a relaxed and fun evening. I can’t wait to join in another experience, and for someone that never goes out and doesn’t tend to drink wine that’s a true reflection of the impact that Cecile has had on me. We bonded with strangers and laughed more than we have for a long time. Highly recommended.

We learnt lots!

A great evening - we learned lots about French Reds, enjoyed the wide variety of wines that we tasted and had fun - highly recommended! Only wish we'd brought a pen and paper to take notes.
