Hello Matt, We don’t put a firm minimum on the age of children but trust to parents/carers’ judgement. We’d expect an observant 9 year old who likes puzzles and can apply themselves for over an hour to be a useful member of a family team. If you’re not sure how they’ll engage, we recommend that you bring something to occupy them just in case as it’s likely the rest of the group will be too engrossed to humour them! If your question is about children’s parties... this is not what the games were designed for: they are designed to challenge adults. However, with no outside knowledge required, some children are amazing problem solvers so it could work for them to have a fun and memorable experience with their friends - with an adult or two to help steer their efforts and encourage teamwork. We do indeed have seats in almost every space in the game rooms but are very adaptable and can provide extra/higher seats if needed. Biggest issue you will face is the stairs to first floor (briefing room plus 2 game rooms) and second floor (loos and A Mission to Winchintzy). The stairs are very regular and do have small landings at half way points between floors where we can put a chair for a quick rest; they also have a handrail. We have had players manage the stairs and then use smaller wheelchairs/walkers around the rooms without too much difficulty. One of the great things about escape rooms is that they are very inclusive with no real physical demands, fear factors or prior knowledge required. Hi Chicken Dobblers! It sounds like you're on your way to being escape room addicts! We think the optimum for both our games is about 4 people... less than that and you're going to work harder, 6 people and you're going to have a bit less personal space and hands on time. For smaller teams we can offer a few more nudges to help focus your attention (never giving away answers). So it depends what your priorities are: for an intense escaping experience, race each other as two teams of three and compare notes afterwards; or if your priority is sharing time together celebrate your combined genius collaborating together as a team of six. You'll see from our reviews that teams have great fun either way!

Absolutely! It's a really fun and challenging shared experience you'll be talking about for hours if not days afterwards. Lots of different skills are required form observation to communication and deduction: everyone has something to contribute to an escape at ClueCapers. Plan us in for early in the day - alcohol does not make for good escapees! Maximum team size is 5 but with larger groups you can race each other at the same game with our two matching escape rooms.
