Great learning experience for the kids - and grown-ups!

Visited, us for the first time, with our grandson - 3 1/2 going on 6! He has been before and reportedly had a great time. Certainly knew his way around. On this occasion the... read more

Even if it is a good alternative for a rainy half day, it did not completely meet the expectations. 25% of "attractions" were not working. On the contrary, the planetarium is impressive and very interesting.

Visited, us for the first time, with our grandson - 3 1/2 going on 6! He has been before and reportedly had a great time. Certainly knew his way around. On this occasion the planetarium was closed for maintenance but entrance to this is extra so nothing was lost from this at least. There is now a decent café serving... More

Nice place but geared more to children. Liked the planetarium show although if you suffer with motion sickness beware

This was the second time I have visited with the family, did not enjoy it as much as the first time, it really is a good day out, lots of things to learn and do. Found this time the children could not have a go at lot of the hands on items, waiting around a lot.

Having overlooked this attraction for many years, we thought we’d give it a go one Saturday. Now I wasn’t expecting much but was surprised not only at the variety of hands on activities but how much I enjoyed the day which flew by at a rate of knots. Took (dragged!) my 14 and 12 year old son and daughter who... More

Booked for my sons 8th birthday. Lots of stuff going on and lots to look at. It was very busy so had to wait to go on some things. Few things were out of order. The shows were good and overall the children enjoyed their day. I would go again but I wouldn't go in the holidays. The picnic areas... More

We went on a rainy Saturday morning and it was really busy. However, there were always free activity stations and even at the most popular ones the wait was not long. Our 4 year old girl loved it. A brilliant mix of play and learning. I am sure we will visit regularly over the next few years and hopefully she... More

Whilst staying nearby for a couple of nights visited just to see the planetarium, we were charges £5 each to watch one short film " We Are Stars" which was really aimed at children. Did not visit the science centre, but the planetarium show was not what I expected. Probably a good place to take young children for a day... More

Although there were lots of families there, we were 4 adults who had a brilliant time with all the 'hands on' exhibits. the planetarium provided an informative and enjoyable lesson on how the elements were formed. A great visit that we all enjoyed. Unfortunately the cafe was being upgraded, so refreshments were very limited.

Visited the planetarium that was excellent. The Science Centre really disappointing. The exhibits are tired and many just didn't work.
